Pro Tips & Tricks: How to Make Your Flowers Last Longer

Before your flowers ship, they are prepared for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey, this is absolutely normal! Just follow these simple steps for proper rehydration and watch them bloom to their fullest potential.

  1. Unpack your flowers immediately upon arrival.
  2. Fill a clean container/vase with fresh, cool water.
  3. Using sharp scissors or garden shears, make a 45-degree angle cut at least 1-2 inches off the end of the stems.
  4. Place the flowers in the prepared container or vase. Arrange as desired.
  5. Allow your flowers to properly hydrate for 1-2 hours.
  6. Remove any foliage that falls below the waterline of your container. Leaves will rot and cause bacteria to form and shorten the flower's life.
  7. Re-cut the stems and refresh the flower food and water every two days.
  8. Do not place flowers in direct sunlight or near fruits, heat and drafts.
  9. Remove wilting flowers at any time to prevent bacterial growth.

  • Sam's Club uses FedEx or UPS for priority overnight delivery service.
  • One day before your requested delivery date, you will receive an email letting you know your order has shipped. You will receive a tracking number, which you can use to track your package online at www.FedEx.com or www.UPS.com. You can also obtain your tracking number by signing into your SamsClub.com account.
  • It is recommended to have someone available to receive your order on the delivery date. This will ensure that your order is not left at the doorstep or sent back for next day delivery.
  • For metropolitan areas deliveries arrive between 8am and 12pm. For Suburban or rural areas deliveries arrive between 8am to 4:30pm.
  • Shipments may be delayed by weather or other unforeseen circumstances such as US Custom Holds or weather which could result in shipping and/or delivery dates being modified. Please check your tracking number and contact  FedEx or UPS for delivery holds or pick up options concerning weather delays.
  • Although your order will be shipped overnight, please allow a minimum of 7 days for the handling and shipping process.
  • No deliveries can be made on Monday, Saturday or Sunday.  Holiday schedules may differ from regular shipping schedules i.e. Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, etc.
  • Fresh Greenery is available for delivery Tuesday - Friday to the 48 contiguous states
  • Delivery is not available to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

Beautiful Greens for an Amazing Price!

We chose these greens to add to the centerpiece decorations for my daughter's wedding reception. Salal Everggreens are unique (not your typical fern or eucalyptus) and added a classy, lovely touch tucked around candle arrangements. We bought the 25 bunch for use on 13 tables and we had PLENTY! I think we only used half of the box...but even at that this was cheaper than anything else we looked at, artificial or real, store or on-line. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend buying greens from Sam's Club and specifically recommend this beautiful variety.

I ordered the salal so i can make garlands for the wedding center pieces. The salal came on Thu, i made the garland (salal and eucalyptus) on Friday and kept them in the fridge. They looked great on the day of the wedding, which is on Sun. Price is very reasonable!

There was about 18 pieces per bunch. They were very full and they worked well in our wedding centerpieces they arrived on time and it looks like the order was shipped from California to Ohio and they were fresh. I just added a pack of fresh life flour preservative, which I had to order elsewhere it did not come included. They also arrived on the date, promised I had them come on Thursday for a Saturday wedding and they were wonderful
