    Put the batteries in before you return it!

    The “try me” button will only light up the base dimly for both colors. I bought the white one in the store and the black one online - the black one didn't have that button and I had to put the actual batteries in to see if it worked and then the whole thing lit up purple! So then I unpackaged the white one and put its batteries in and it lit up the whole thing instead of just the flickering light in the base - it's beautiful!! Well worth it and these phantoms look awesome!

    LOVEEE!!!!!!

    I absolutely love this thing! Grandin Road sells a very similar one for around $100, so finding this for about $30 felt like a steal. It looks great and gives off such a cozy glow. I love that you can choose between the flickering flame effect or a steady light, depending on the look you're going for. My only complaint is that I wish it was made from a sturdier material. It doesn't feel as high-end as the more expensive versions, but honestly, for the price, I can't complain too much. I liked it so much that I'm already ordering the white one too!
