Specifications

  • Use Instructions: If you are under 18, consult a doctor before using Nicotine Polacrilex Gum and read the User’s Guide for comprehensive instructions and information. Start using the gum on your quit day. If you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, use the 2mg gum. If within 30 minutes of waking up, use the 4mg gum. Follow a 12-week schedule: 1 piece every 1-2 hours for weeks 1 to 6, 1 piece every 2-4 hours for weeks 7 to 9, and 1 piece every 4-8 hours for weeks 10 to 12. Chew the gum slowly until it tingles, then park it between your cheek and gum, and start chewing again when the tingle fades. Repeat this process until most of the tingle is gone, about 30 minutes. Avoid eating or drinking 15 minutes before and while chewing the gum. Use at least 9 pieces per day for the first 6 weeks to improve your chances of quitting. If cravings persist, you can use a second piece within the hour, but avoid continuous use as it can cause side effects like hiccups, heartburn, and nausea. Do not exceed 24 pieces a day and complete the treatment. If you feel the need to use the gum for a longer period, consult your healthcare provider.

Keep the gum out of reach of children and pets as it can make them sick. Dispose of used gum properly by wrapping it in paper and discarding it in the trash. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical help or contact a Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222.
  • Ingredients: The active ingredient in each piece of the chewing gum is Nicotine Polacrilex, equivalent to 4 mg of nicotine. The inactive ingredients, which assist in delivering the active ingredient but do not have any therapeutic effects, include acesulfame potassium, calcium carbonate, carnauba wax, D&C yellow no. 10, gelatin, gum base, mannitol, menthol, natural and artificial flavors, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate anhydrous, sorbitol, sucralose, talc, titanium dioxide, and xylitol.
