For young and learning paddlers, there’s no more exciting and fun-to-use personal watercraft than the Lifetime Relay Kayak. This youth sit-on-top kayak is specifically designed to give kids the ultimate kayaking experience. You can enjoy all the premium features of Lifetime kayaks on a boat sized just right for kids. A UV-resistant high-density polyethylene body makes this kayak weather and impact resistant and ensures it will last for years of adventure. Take it to and from the water easily using the convenient T-handle at the front or the center carry handle on the deck. 

Kids can secure their paddles in the molded-in paddle cradle when not using them, helpfully located just in front of the paddling area. Self-bailing scupper holes allow water to pass away from the deck, and multiple footrest positions mean that kids of different sizes can paddle in comfort, or growing kids can use it as they mature. Children can utilize the swim-up deck on the stern to re-enter the kayak if they decide to go for a swim, and hand holds are placed to assist re-entry. With a suite of features to make paddling easy and fun, the Lifetime Relay Kayak is a great kayak for young paddlers!

Perfect for my 6 year old

This kayak is so fun! My six year old can zip around on it with ease. It’s a great starter kayak for the first timer. It says for ages 5 and up but I think even a coordinated 4 year old could start out on it. It’s light weight and easy to carry. The included paddle is also the perfect size for young ones. It max weight is 100 pounds so even my 9 year old could paddle around on it (but he prefers paddle boards now). I highly recommend for little water loving kids!

Awesome Youth Kayak!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have several kayaks and a canoe. This Lifetime Cadet kayak is great for smaller kids. It’s very light which makes carrying it and loading a breeze. The carry handle is a very helpful addition for myself for carrying it or my 4 and 8 year old to drag it into the water. It maneuvers easily in the water even for a beginner or younger child. My 8 year old absolutely loves it and had a blast racing me on our 2 seater Lifetime Envoy kayak. Nice and stable in the water. My 4 year old was able to maneuver it decently enough for a kid who has just started learning how to paddle. Definitely recommend for any younger kid no matter their skill level.

My kids love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We knew the day would come that we’d have to get another youth paddle board. Luckily, Lifetime makes a great one so it was a no-brainer which brand we wanted. We chose the Cadet because it supports a higher weight limit which means we’ll be holding on to it a lot longer. We took it up to the lake and the kids LOVED it. My 6 year-old was able to climb on the back with ease. For dad, the built in molded carrying handles made it a breeze for me to carry both from the car. Whether you’re buying your first or third kayak, I definitely recommend the Cadet. Once you see and feel the quality of this product, you’ll know why we’re a Lifetime family.
