Easy and Convenience

We bought this washer and dryer pair to replace an older  set we bought in 2008 (also front-load and direct drive). The older set was still working fine (I think I replaced a water pump in 2018), we just didn’t want to move them again. 

The new set has a lot of extra features that we haven’t explored yet, but they’re efficient, quiet, easy to use, and look great. 

The direct drive really gives peace of mind. We replaced 3 belt kits on a competing dryer between 2020 and 2023 before buying a new dryer. When we moved again, it was LG all the way. 

I’m guessing this set will see us through retirement. 

We did go up a model to get the all stainless drum in both. It really makes a difference in longevity and the machines not grabbing your clothes. 

Worth every penny.

Was hesitant at first, but I’m so glad I went through with it. By far, the best dryer I have experienced and I travel a lot for work so I’ve had my fair share of washers/dryers. This dryer can compare to some laundromat sized dryers. I can dry my king size comforter and have no issues.

Wonderful Investment

My wife is extremely happy with this washer.  We had a rental with a very similar washer and she loved it - so when we bought our home, we purchased this unit.  Very fast, very quiet, and very efficient.  This model is quite large however - which is great for larger loads.  Just make sure it fits.

Great washer (and dryer too) for everybody who wants really clean clothes. Does everything and stuff you’d never expect a washer to do like several programs for just about any article of clothes, bedding or even things that need a very light wash. Don’t get me started on my LG matching dryer.

Massive machine cleans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this dryer based on reviews and Consumer Reports information and it has exceeded expectations so far. The size is perfect for larger washing machines. The dryer is quiet and easy to operate. Needed to reverse door which was also easy to do. Hook up was easy with the recommended auxiliary kits. Overall this is performing well. Time will tell on overall reliability but again based on legacy reviews, I should be happy for years to come.

Top of the line dryer

I bought this a month ago and like the large tub where I can dry a comforter without any problems.  I didn't like the fact that an error code showed up on the screen within one week so that has me a little worried to see what the future will hold with this dryer.

I love the size and style of this dryer.  My main problem is with the sensor.  It just does not get the clothes dry enough.  I always have to run another cycle.  I understand we're all trying to save energy but you can't make a bed with damp bedding or fold and put away damp clothes. This is even when I use the "very dry" option. And everything is so automated there is no manual function to just set it to run 15 more minutes, etc.,

I like it but don't love it.

The Dryer itself is well built and performs very good. 
The Smart Home features and functionality is a Joke though and tech support is useless.WiFi drops out daily. LG claims integration with Alexa, but don't expect much. The most important need is to tell you when it's started or when it's done and that is not possible via Alexa alone. You will need to perform some "Smart Home Gymnastics" via Smartthings, Hubitat, Home Assistant or the like to get it to do the most important function. LG does not offer any real type of Smart Home integration.

I have been told on more than 20 YES 20 times someone will call and help me and NOTHING!!
