Let’s be honest—doing laundry isn’t exactly the highlight of anyone’s week. But the LG DLEX5800V might just change your mind. This sleek, steam-powered beast doesn’t just dry your clothes—it pampers them.
With a 7.4 cu.ft.. capacity, it’s basically the SUV of dryers. Got a mountain of towels? A week’s worth of gym clothes? A comforter the size of a small country? Toss it in—this thing can handle it.
But here’s where it gets fancy: the AI Sensor Dry feature actually thinks for you. It senses how damp your clothes are and adjusts the time and heat so you don’t end up with shrunken sweaters or crispy socks.

The Dryer That Thinks for You & Steams Your Wrinkl

Great looking design. Similar to the paired washer, having the dial is a great plus as I don’t like just having the LCD. Starting the dryer takes little longer than expected. When you press the power button and the start button, it doesn’t start instantly There is slight lag, but it does help prevent accidentally pressing the start button. There is quick dry cycle (30min) which is very helpful when in a hurry. It would be nice to be able to adjust the  dryig time for the quick dry. The clothes comes out dry and fluffy. I wasn't able to adjust the drying temperature under Normal cycle. Hopefully they can add this feature through ThinQ UP. I had it connected to ThinQ app and it was cool to be able to receive the alerts. I setup my LG TV to get the laundry alerts as well which is super convenient.  It would be good to have new feature to turn on the Wrinkle care after I started the dryer since I always forget to turn it on. I like the steam feature to fluff my jackets and clothes that do not need to be washed. The best part is how quite the dryer is. You can barely hear any noise and it has large capacity. I was able to dry heavy loads without any problems. I do like that ThinQ app provides energy usage information which is helpful to manage how much electricity I’m using. As for the tub light, it was under the settings option same as the washer.  Hopefully they can update this feature with ThinQ UP.

Honestly, I love this dryer. We are a big and busy family; kids are constantly running to activities and this dryer is a lifesaver. It fits everything I need, it dries perfectly ( I love and I modify it to level I prefer), I love the fresh care for added hand, and the smart AI Dry is flawless.
It is quiet and energy efficient. What else would you need from a drier?! Highly recommended!

This dryer is a fantastic combination of style and performance. Its 7.4 cu. ft. drum is perfect for large families, effortlessly drying big loads and bulky blankets. I appreciate how quiet it is during operation and the selection of drying cycles.

What truly sets it apart are the intelligent features. The AI-based dryomg optimizes cycles automatically, and the SteamFresh function is a game-changer, de-wrinkling in about 10 minutes. It's an efficient, well-designed machine that makes laundry day much easier.

Well-Designed Dryer

Purchased this dryer a few weeks ag and I am sending it back. There are several things I don't care for about the machine. First, I don't like the cycle selection design.  You have to turn a dial to find the cycle you want on the electronic screen. Second, I don't like the lint screen. It is hot to touch in between cycles, even though it tells you to clean the screen in between cycles and I find it more difficult to remove the lint than my old machine. Most important, it does not dry consistently. No matter what cycle I use, the clothing items/sheets, towels are completely damp when the cycle goes off or their are damp in spots and dry in others. No matter, I still have to turn on another cycle before they are completely dry. I do not overload the drum and I select the appropriate cycle for the items I am drying.
