Disaster readiness

Look up making emergency candles on Google. This can will burn 8 hours a day for SEVENTY TWO days. Better to melt in microwave, then transfer to BIG mason jar. Then stick a Taper candle in the middle. You may need to trin the bottom of the taper so the wick is level on top. Get this ready for hurricane season. (Anyone know how a silicone holder would work?) You can also make a bunch of small candles using just a birthday candle. Again, you must put the Crisco in another container, the cans are NOT metal anymore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnNHM4OLkvE%26list=WL%26index=22

6# cans of Crisco

I received 2 cans of Crisco that were damaged. Sam's sent me two replacement cans free of charge. I couldn't ask for a better response to my e-mail. This is an amazing price at Sam's for the 6# cans.

I would add this to my shopping list

I use this all the time when I bake, however I watch my baking now that my kids no longer are at home. I cut my recipes in half for cookies, gobs, and so on. I only use Crisco. And it's cheaper at Sam's
