About this item

Product details

Free Unlimited AI Bird Recognition, More Than Just a Species Name

Birdfy models sold at Sam's Club come with free smarter bird ID. The built-in AI identifies more than 6,000 bird species and helps you learn more about every visitor. With free, unlimited recognition, it can tell you each bird's species, whether it might be a juvenile, and whether it's likely female or male, with no subscription or daily limits.

Daily Highlights & Monthly Recaps, Free for Life

Free on Birdfy models sold at Sam's Club, the built-in AI automatically selects your best bird photos each day and creates monthly and yearly video recaps of your most memorable visits. Relive every close-up, rare sighting, and unexpected wildlife moment, then share them with family and friends in a single tap.

Built to Handle Weather and Squirrels

Plastic feeders fade, crack and give squirrels something to chew through. This one is built around a metal body with a smooth espresso finish that resists rust and holds its shape season after season. Metal also gives a chewing squirrel far less to work with, so there's far less for a chewing squirrel to damage. The natural beech wood perch gives birds a comfortable place to land.

Solar Power That Practically Runs Itself

A built-in solar panel tops up the 9,000mAh rechargeable battery through the day, so you spend far less time taking the camera down to charge it. Set it up once and get on with your morning.

Crisp 1080P Video, Day or Night

The 1080p camera captures feather detail and movement at feeding distance, and full-color night vision keeps the feeder viewable after dark. Every clip is saved in the cloud for 60 days so you can replay it whenever you like.

A Gift That Gets Used Every Single Day

For the parent, grandparent or neighbor who already has everything, this is a gift that keeps producing something new to look at. It arrives ready to hang and works with the free Birdfy app.

Great feeder so far!

I have several of the Birdfy bird feeders, and have been happy with all of them. I've had this feeder for about a week now. It was extremely easy to set up for me - the quickest setup of all my feeders. I charged the camera overnight, plugged it into the one-piece bird feeder, and was ready to hang it up. The built-in solar panel has been working to keep the camera charged so far, even through the consistent rainy weather we've had since I put the feeder up. I'm not sure yet if I like having the built-in solar panel as opposed to an external solar panel that can be moved around like my other two feeders. We have a lot of birds in our backyard, and the change to the new feeder hasn't slowed that down: House Finches, Black-Capped Chickadees, Red-Breasted Nuthatches, and Northern Flickers. I think the camera is doing well for me so far, as well as the extension perch. I do like the built in seed guard. The plastic one that I have for my first plastic Birdfy feeder could be popped off easily. My Northern Flicker loves to shovel tons of seed out of my Bamboo feeder to search for the sunflower seeds, so I think this built in seed guard will make that a little more difficult :) The size of the feeder was a concern for me, as my other two seem to have a larger area for perching. But I've seen my House Finch pairs easily both fit and eat, and my Northern Flickers have no problem settling in.

Love Birdfy feeders!

I love the Birdfy feeders! I also have 2 other different ones. The metal espresso one seems to be very well made and I really like the look of it. My favorite thing about it is that it not only has a solar panel but that it's built in and not separate.

Gorgeous Bird Feeder

The metal bird feeder is simply beautiful. I own several different types of bird feeders and none of them look as good as this one. I have an active squirrel population in my neighborhood, and I usually keep the bird feeders on a pole. However, this one just looks so good I mounted it to the fence post and was surprised that I have not had an issue with any squirrels. Not sure if this is because of the metal design or the layout of the feeder but it works. This feeder really does look good on a post or even attached to a garage or similar structure. The feeder is well designed, and you can feel the quality of the materials when you unbox it. What surprised me was how large the seed hold was. You can put a lot more seed than I expected in this which means less frequent trips to refill the bird feeder which I appreciated. The box included all the accessories you may need for a variety of installation types and additional instructions and advice on placement. The AI and app are fantastic and make taking snapshots of the bird feeder activity easy as well as tracking specific bird species that frequent the bird feeder. The AI identification did a great job. With everything including solar built into the bird feeder it really is easy to maintain once you have it set up. Great bird feeder especially for those looking for a nicer looking setup that does not detract from your current landscaping.
