We haven't taken out of the box yet or installed. The lights are a Christmas gift to my husband. I think he will love them when he lights up his shop!

It was easy to install and what we like about it best is that there are three different brightness levels. I am thinking of buying at least three more.

Nice led workshop lights. But they turn on by themselves? I would go in the garage during the day or night and they would be on. I had read another review that stated the same experience. Too bad, they were quality led lights.

I just purchased one of these units, to test/evaluate for FishRoom lighting, directly over tanks. After 10 minutes, I like it a lot. The ability to chain a bunch of units together eliminates the need to have a lot of the normal extension cords and power strips, which is much neater and probably safer. The box says you can link up to 10, but the paper instructions say 4. The 3-prong electrical cord is a little more than 5ft long, and that's what's used as the unit-to-unit link. Each of the 2 LED strips is protected by a clear plastic tube. I don't see an IP rating so it's probably not waterproof, but the LEDs are protected from minor random splashes. The unit seems solid and well-constructed. I bought it at the local Sam's Club, where they most likely get them in bulk on pallets ... none of the boxes were damaged, and presumably the contents weren't dinged either. An advantage over ordering them online. 5 year limited warranty. Note that the Honeywell name is rented, Honeywell itself is not backing the product. * actual size of unit is approx 47" x 2 3/4" x 6" * 45w * 5000 lumens * color = 5000k * CRI = 80 * rated 50,000 hrs * lumens per watt = 111 Obviously it'll need a lot more than 10 minutes use before I have a sense of how well in does for growing plants. I'm a photographer and needed an inexpensive, and portable fixed light setup for shooting everything from portraits, and headshots, to video interviews. These panels are metal housings, with plastic fittings, and are very light weight yet sturdy. And you can chain 10 of them together if needs be. Total power consumption for 5 panels is 225 watts… Fixed lights in the LED photo panel world are quite expensive. These panels are as portable, and lightweight, and bright as any 'pro' light solutions I've looked at…and for $29 I get the same amount of light I'd expect to pay $300 a panel for in photo lights (4500 to 5000 lumens per panel) The housings are metal, and I've been able to drill holes in the edges for S-hooks and chains to hang them off light stands. We diffuse them with semi-transparent shower curtains. The latest generation of these lights has separate, switchable, power levels as well…and they changed the chaining from a proprietary fitting to a standard 3 prong socket (standard I've been able to find inexpensive ways to diffuse and attach them to light stands. The color balance has been uniform, and the output consistent, and the light pleasant in the room. They lie somewhere just below traditional daylight (5500°K) and are not into the cool temperature range. Photoshop white balance registers at 4200°K-4500°K when I'm editing photos, and the traditional 'daylight' balance on an auto setting for video looks great.

Bought 6 have to return 3. They didn't work.

I chose these lights because of the variable brightness settings. And, you can connect up to 10 in a row.

The ability to daisy chain these super efficient lights saved time and money in lighting my basement.

This light puts off a lot of light. It is great. They were easy to exchange out for our old fluorescent lights. I highly recommend.
