Stops working and Turns itself on randomly.

I purchased one of these and it stopped working about 3 months after I installed it. I went ahead and purchased a second one to replace the first one. This one turns itself on at various times. At first I thought someone else in the household kept forgetting to turn it on, then I setup a security camera and caught it!

These lights aren't that great.

I have bought a total of 7 of these lights, only 4 work. They work awesome for about a month then 3 of them quit. Sometimes they will come on for awhile but the 3 bad ones always end up shutting off.

Ceiling Mounted

It can be done with a little ingenuity and no how. First take the 2 Phillip's heads screws out of each in and look through for any obstruction, then while the ends are unattached drill a hole about a ½ into the side that plugs in. Drill another hole in the middle of the light and fish the line through and plug it in. Drill one hole on each side of the center hole about ¼ and use toggle bolts ¼ in, cut the plug off and strip the wires back to about 10 inches and wire it up. Now if you have a light that your changing out it will fit.

Same as others, faulty after a year or two.

I bought a bunch of these, some still in box as I have yet to put them up but have them in my garage and basement and now just like others have reported these are starting to flicker and or just dim. These should be on a recall at this point as they have a 5 yr warranty that is essentially worthless for the price of trying to send back. I would stay clear of any light with the Honeywell name on it as obviously their quality control is suspect. Sam's should be working with the manufacturer to come up with a better way to return these under warranty at their stores due to all of the failures.

High failure rate but can be easily fixed.

Initially purchased 4 of these lights. Within 6 months, two of them failed to turn on. After doing a little troubleshooting, both of the lights failed for the same reason. The light consists of 4 LED strips that are soldered together with jumper wires. On both of the lights that failed, the same soldering joint was bad and was no longer making a good connection. After cleaning off the white sealant covering the bad solder joint, I added some fresh solder and we now have a good electrical connection and the light works again. Hopefully the newer version of this light (with the linkable wiring) will not suffer from the same bad soldering. Time will tell though.

Zack,

Obviously we would not recommend a customer soldering on the products. We are sorry to hear you had the problem with the lights. Please give us a call at 1-844-551-0680 if you run into any other issue in the future. b081121r

I purchased the same lights about a year ago from Sam's. They work perfectly on my garage. I basically tool the light bulbs out and inserted an adaptor so you can plug them in with the light. I have 6 installed. Yes, I over killed it but I like it. I will recommend it 100%

Honeywell led 4' shop lights

These lights work great when they work; they'd be a five star product. Unfortunately of the 24 lights I have, 7 only work about 10% of the time. They randomly go dim or flash off. It's very frustrating and since I didn't register the warranty I don't have much recourse. If you decide to buy them just be aware that you will most likely have to return around 25% of the lights you buy. If this inconvenience doesn't bother you then by all means, buy them. Like I said before, when they work, they are awesome, but when they don't…

Great - for a while.

I bought eight of these lights nearly five years ago and I'm watching them die a slow death. I just lost the second one today. The whole idea is supposed to be that LEDs last so much longer than incandescent bulbs, which they of course do, but the flaw in these lamps is the driver circuits, which are responsible for the high failure rates others have experienced as reflected in their reviews. The good news is that you can buy a replacement circuit from AliExpress for less than four bucks, so I've stocked up on them, but there's really no excuse for a company like Honeywell to sell such unreliable merchandise.
