I would highly recommend this product. Easy to use and the perfect amount of power for the home cook. Has many features that can be bought to make it the perfect kitchen tool. I have owned a Kitchenaid for the last fifteen years and would never buy a different brand

We were pleasently surprised to see the price of this product. This is a truly professional machine at a "household" price. The brand and product are top of the line. My daughter was looking for a professional quality machine and we will be pleased to present this to her for her birthday. Thank you for carrying this great product. We were surprised to see a not so great rating by one customer but realized after reading their comment that they must not do much cooking or baking. The machine performs wonderfully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was told never to buy a woman a gift with an electric cord, but my wife loves the look of this machine on her kitchen counter; and I have found it easy and straight forward to use right out of the box. We have only had a hand mixer for years and years and this machine takes all the work out of it for me.

I purchased this mixer for a weekly use making cookies and bread. The motor struggles to mix dough for bread and cookies. The high pitched sound of the motor is AWFUL. The paddle attachment and dough hook chipped by the 4th or 5th use. KA replaced the paddle, and the replacement chipped. I have a tilt head KA that is about 30 years old that works better and sounds better than this piece of junk. I've contacted KA. But it's not in warranty anymore....of course. If you choose to buy it...buy earplugs too. Save your money. **Notice that most of the 5 star reviews are for "promos""

Since then, I have not been disappointed with the purchase. It is a work horse and makes baking and cooking so much easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a kitchen aid mixer for Christmas and the first thing I made with it was a pan of cinnamon rolls they turned out great! Have never used a Kitchen Aid till then. Using it more and more love it!

I bought a KA 5qt w/450 watt motor. Most of the reviews I see complain that it is a little loud. The motor is bigger, I think that's why it's louder. The other major issue is taking the bowl off and on, so mine just pops off with a slight tug, however, putting it back took a little skill. I have found that if you tilt the bowl up in the back, place the pegs in the holes then with your thumbs on the back of the bowl and your fingers on the arms you just pull down and it pops right in! Easypeasy, I love my mixer!!!

I talk about how hardy this mixer is after one time while I was kneading bread in my mixer, I left the kitchen fit a minute and the mixer had "walked" itself of the edge of the counter and crashed to the floor! miraculously, it didn't skip a beat and wasn't damaged at all! Amazing! I now have grown children that are setting up houses now and have enjoyed purchasing them their own KitchenAid so they can start building their own memories through baking and cooking for their own families.

Great AC motor mixer for its price point. I had a refurbished 6Qt in great condition but the AC motors are notoriously noisy. However, if you look for a DC motor/KSM serial series your mixer will be noticeably quieter. If you're looking for a quieter motor find a model that starts with KSM. My new 8Qt commercial works like a charm.

This has been on my wish list for so long. The everyday household mixer made by Sunbeam I had for years finally gave out last Christmas. I bake a lot of breads and of course Christmas Cookies. Heavy thick doughs. My Husband got this for me as an early Birthday gift so I would have it before the Holidays. This is a wonderful heavy duty mixer. I researched many models and read endless reviews in addition to price comparisons. This mixer has the motor and power needed to keep up with Holiday baking. * It may not be the prettiest of the Kitchen Aid mixers but I wanted it for the heavy duty jobs it is capable of. I am very pleased and excited. Very grateful my Husband got this for me as I would have put off the purchase even though it is almost half the price with instant rebate of $50 making it $249.98 (& free meat grinder promotion by mail). I have already put it to good use and am amazed at how much more efficient this mixer is over my previous brand. I would absolutely highly recommend this to anyone who is serious about cooking and baking and wants a good product that will last.
