I was so excited to get this product. I love my other Kitchen aid appliances. My husband has a wheat allergy and I have changed to a mostly veggie based diet. I have a manual spiralizer but I was looking forward to using the electric one. Unfortunately every time I try to spiralize butternut squash or sweet potatoes the skewer end just spins and turns the center to mush. I have tried different blades all with the same luck. I am very disappointed in this product's performance.

It is easy to use and very quick. 2 things that can effect its performances are the size and shape of the fruit and vegetables. You must cut and make the right shape before hand or it can make a mess. Other than that, my wife and I love this!

We had a manual spiralizer that was so cumbersome to clean, so when I saw this attachment on a tv commercial I just had to have it! The first time I used it it was great, spiralized a couple zucchinis no issues, easy peasy....then the next time I took it out to use for an apple (this time trying out the peeler attachment) the darn peeler attachment would not stay in place and fell out (would not click in securely) AND the spike you put the veggies/fruit on cracked and now we cannot use the attachment at all! Totally worthless. It was a great idea, but the quality of the actual pieces is AWFUL and broke the second time it was used! I am beyond upset that I would have to purchase a whole new system as there are no replacement parts. Very disappointed.

I especially like it for zucchini noodles, although I find you have to cut down pieces before spiralizing because of the limited “runway” for the mechanism. Tonight I tried the peeler attachment on a roasted beet. It worked “ok” but a knife is probably better in my book. It spiralized (spaghetti) about 2/3 of a beet like a charm! Then I needed to cut up the last portion - a bit more than the nub left from a zucchini. They are very pretty noodles though! Still getting to know it, and I'm excited to try more things. I really like the storage box- everything has a place! Easy to store.
