We were undecided if we should spend the money or go plastic and hand operated, but the quality of KitchenAid has always been excellent, so we went with the 5 blade Spiralizer, and we were not disappointed. It comes in the original box which is actually a "case" to store all of the parts and blades, and is easy to install and use. We have used it on everything from carrots to bell peppers, onions and squash. Easy to use, cleans up in dishwasher (top rack), and we would recommend this product to everyone interested in spiralizing their veggies. Does an Excellent Job! (hint: if you are cutting your veggie into noodles, cut the noodle when you get about 8 inches, otherwise, you will have a 2 ft long noodle)

I'M HAPPY THAT KITCHENAID HAS ADDED THIS ATTACHMENT TO THEIR LINE. I HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET, BUT AM ANXIOUS TO DO THAT. I HAD BEEN USING A MANUAL SPIRALIZER UNTIL NOW AND LOVED THE WAY THAT ONE WORKED. THE KITCHENAID, HOWEVER HAS A LOT MORE OPTIONS AND THAT'S WHY I CHOSE IT.

Its a fun tool to use! My kids enjoy using the spiralizing attachements and it has sparked an interest in cooking for them. The one piece I am not really thrilled with is the peeler attachment. It only kinda works on potatoes, so I am thinking to use it mainly on non-bumpy veggies. All in all, it was a good purchase and It is something that is used several times a week.

Wonderful product, but the fruit and vegetable skewer plate diameter is too small to spiralize a full size 3.75 inch diameter zucchini. The teeth on the skewer plate shred the soft seed center of zucchini, which stops the vegetable from rotating and renders that inch or so of that end of the vegetable un-spiralize-able.

I received the spiralizer attachment for Mother's Day. This piece of equipment is a valuable and easy necessity for your KichenAid stand mixer. I have had so much fun with this in my kitchen. The peeler is amazing and the core and slicers do a beautiful job slicing apples, potatoes and making noodles out of zucchini. I have been having lots of with this tool and I'm so happy to own one of these. Looking forward to many more exciting dishes to make with this creative addition to my culinary needs.

I bought this for helping to process apples around harvest time. It's so easy to process and freeze tons of apples without having to worry about peeling, coring, and slicing. It's also great for spiralizing and I've loved making spiral cut fries on many occasions!

I absolutely love this accessory to my kitchen aid mixer. I've used the apple peeler/corer/slicer and the Spiralizer both. They were so much better than the manual tools I've been using that I've given those away and have more room in the cupboard as the kitchen aid accessories don't take up as much space.

With the recent "lifestyle" change underway, this spiralizer was the perfect fit! No longer am I feeling deprived of my beloved pasta! So many recipes have been reconfigured to fit into my daily eating habits! Not to mention how much fun it is! Now my new favorite attachment!

If I could give this 3.5 Stars instead of 3 I would. Pro: the attachment does the bulk of the work. Con: hard vegetables such as potatoes can be tricky and bend the slicer. I wish the Spiralizer parts were sturdier and all metal rather than having hard plastic parts. Zucchini is a breeze to spiralize. If you spiralize hard vegetables make sure you use the lowest setting to ensure it is embedded into the spiked holder properly.

I've only had my KitchenAid Spiralizer for a short time, yet I've already done so much with it! Beautiful salads, pasta (zoodles, especially!), peeled apples for a pie, peeled pears for a crumble -- it's so much fun and fast but, best of all, nutritious, too!
