No more peeling!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used my peeler/spiralizer a few times and it is fantastic! I love that I can spiralize different sizes. I've made apple noodles for pancakes and curly fries. And peeling is a breeze. There's a little learning curve but it's a time saver and the kids love it! I love it too!

Great addition to mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this attachment to replace a counter-top apple peeler/corer/slicer and am sorry I did not purchase it sooner. It makes prepping apples for pie so much easier!!! Can't wait to try some of the spiralizer attachments.

Some Veg More Difficult Than Others

I was so excited to see that KitchenAid made a spiralizer attachment as I have difficulty doing veg like butternut squash on my manual spiralizer. Sadly, I could not spiralize it using the KitcheAid either! The fruit and vegetable skewer spun around, making a hole in the squash, and the blade got bent. I had a similar experience when trying a sweet potato. Better luck with beets and zucchini though. I am happy that I got it as it does make really fast work of the zucchini, but for the price and given the metal construction, I would have thought this would have been able to handle the butternut just fine. I love KitchenAid products, but would be hesitant to recommend to others until the spinning-skewer is sorted out.

Apples and zoodles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the spiralizer for Christmas. I love it. It cored, peeled, and sliced apples for my crisp. I made zoodles. I am going to try potatoes next. It is easy to set up and use. Cleanup is simple.

Time Saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product and processed 120# of apples in 1/2 the time it took me to process the apples before .Easy to use, and easy to clean and awesome box to hold all the pieces with magnetic closure.

1st Generation model needs a little tweak

My wife, who works at a culinary store, purchased a plastic spiralizer about a month and a half ago. At first the product was great but the plastic was weak on it and any hard vegetables made it difficult to handle the extra torque needed to spiralize them. One example being butternut squash. This is just a great vegetable as a "noodle." Once my wife saw this attachment, and knowing how I disliked the plastic, hand crank model, she purchased me this all metal, powered version. I was blown away by it. It handles zucchini, apples, cucumbers, perfectly. Then I tried the butternut squash. I was planning on making a butternut squash "noodle" and pork yakisoba. Well, I noticed the only flaw that I have seen with this product. The skewer that spins the vegetable to let the blades spiralize it just isn't big enough. Although the stand mixer has the power to handle the torque needed to cut the vegetable, the skewer doesn't have enough surface area to grip enough of the vegetable to allow that torque to be used; the skewer ended up tearing up that end of the squash. The skewer's diameter is about an inch and a half. There is plenty of room on the attachment to accommodate a larger diameter skewer, something in the range of a 3 inch diameter piece would be nice. Kitchenaid designed the skewer to be easily attached and removed. Kitchenaid, if you are out there and listening, you've made a great product. All the blades included and the peeler work great. How about you include another, larger diameter skewer along with the smaller one?? That way it gives this attachment all the advantages over any other spiralizer out on the market.

The Best Appliance Ever

I am a newbie to Kitchenaid appliance, so for my birthday I purchase my mixer and love it and was skeptical in getting the Spiralizer because I thought it a few things but needless to say after talking to the Kitchenaid rep she explained the machine fully. I purchased it and received it and wow I made curly fries but put them in my actifryer and it was a disaster. So never give up I tried them the next day but deep fried them in my wok and it was perfect. I also made an apple pie and it peeled and core so perfectly and the pie was delicious.

Another great KA product

Easy to use. lSpiralizes very quickly and the spirals look nice. Haven't tried the other shapes yet. I got tired of the hand hand spiralizers that took a lot of effort and reviews of many of the counter top models mentioned how they weren't really stable on the counter. No problems with this excellent Kitchen Aid product.

Great for zoodles galore!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hubby bought this for me after watching me try to spiralize a sweet potato using a mandolin. Needless to say, it didn't go well. But this spiralizer works like a champ on any veggie I've put to the test - zuchini, carrots, sweet potatoes, and regular potatoes....it hasn't mattered. I watched a quick video on YouTube and after that, I was up and running.

Excellent attachment for the KitchenAid StandMixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 5 Blade Spiralizer with Peel, Core and Slice capability is an excellent attachment to the Stand Mixer. It is a very helpful and a time saver in the kitchen when preparing fruits and vegetables that require this type of attachment.
