I bought this particularly to spiralize butternut squash as shown in advertisements. However, it doesn't seem that the blade is strong enough to work. When I followed the instructions exactly, the blade bends as it can't keep up with the top part of the blade as it moves down the threaded part. Once it bends too much, it pops back off the threads. It works well for softer things, like beets. I'm really disappointed though. I expected more from a Kitchenaid product.

I bought this when it first came out and was super excited to use it to start spiralizing everything. I was disappointed to find out it didn't include the basic sizes for chips and string noodles. Now, I notice you can purchase those separately but I would love to be able to choose the blades that come with it as I only really would use those two the most frequent. Overall it does a great job slicing, this particular set just doesn't have what I need. It is difficult to clean so any cleaning tips would be appreciated.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband got this product as a surprise for me. I had asked him to pick up an apple peeler at the store so I could make apple chips. And he came home with this! It took all of five minutes to core, peel and cut the apples! Such a pleasant surprise. I also make zoodles often. I usually use a handheld device to zoodle the zucchini. This product made this ten times easier as well! A little bit difficult to clean but overall super handy if you like to use spiralizers often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have only used it now and then. Does a great job of spiralizing - easy to use and clean. Only issue is that the peeling function (at least for apples) is far from perfect and then I need to go in and take off the peel that is left by hand.

I love processing apples now because a task that used to take hours is completed very quickly and without much ness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this as a gift. My first one had a part that broke. KitchenAid customer service was great. Send a new one out immediately. We have a lot of apples and this has been very helpful in doing apples for pie, applesauce, etc.

We would rather eat spiralized zucchini in place of pasta. It's a great attachment to get you to eat healthier. I have had my kitchen aid mixer for at least 35 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this two weeks ago after having bought more apples I care to manually peel so I could make apple pies. Absolutely loved the peeler attachment. Have not tried the slicer yet although I could have with my apples. I sliced apples by hand while peeler was doing it thing on the next apple. Peeler cut perfectly and was very easy to setup and operate. Sorry I don't have a YouTube video to attach.

I have a hand spiralizer and got this one as a gift. I was excited as we love spiralized sweet potatoes and zucchini. What a HUGE disappointment. Sweet potatoes work for a few minutes then the prong they are attached to looses its grip and the sweet potato ceases to be gripped. Then have to get out the hand spiralizer and finish the job. I've tried all kinds of things. just doesn't work - good idea but horrible performer.

I was really excited to get this for a Christmas present, and I wanted to spiralize everything afterward!!! I went to the grocery store and got a bunch of items to spiralize (apples, carrots, sweet potato, zucchini, butternut squash). I agree with many of the reviews that this does best on softer vegetables and creates lots of waste because it cores all the items. It really struggles on sweet potatoes. After trimming the sweet potato, I tried multiple potatoes and I was only able to get a couple of small noodles off of it before it stopped cutting and started to bend the blade. I stopped the machine before it did damage to the blade. I really wanted to like this spiralizer, but it continues to disappoint. I think for the price you can find something else better.
