[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this over a moth ago and we love it. The 1 - 5 toasting is the best with different types of bread,it toast perfect each time. And toasting bagel excellent also! This is the best toaster we had ever had!! Love it !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had it about a month now and sofar it works great. The bagel option is nice. Level adjustment is very smooth. My only concern it just how well it's made on the inside and how well it will hold up long term. Lets be honest it's made by cost cutting penny pinching whirlpool and like the mixers no longer a Hobart manufactured product.

This was a Christmas gift. We asked for a 4 slice toaster to upgrade from a 2 slice other brand toaster. We thought a KA toaster would have no problems, so we unpackaged it to conserve space traveling back home with our family of 6. Upon setting it up a few weeks later, I adjusted the setting to a 2.5 to make toast. The toast took very long and was very dark. The toast lever is also difficult to push down and latch. I adjusted to the lowest setting and I still get medium dark toast, what I would expect from a 3 or 4 setting. The toast is also uneven, one side is how I like it and the other side is darker than I like. For the price, I think I could have got 2-3 toasters that are "cheaper" but work better.

Once you learn the settings, you will find it easy to get just the right browning on your items. We also enjoy being able to do 2 different items at the same time. One side may have a bagel and the other homemade bread.

No matter the settings you gambled if your bread was toasted or burned. This new unit works every time. And 4 slots make cooking faster. We love the alert when done.

I bought this toaster for the brand name thinking they still built quality products. Well guess who was wrong... I use the left side & I like my toast light-medium & am constantly changing how brown my toast should be. I think i have it set right & then the next time my toast is barely toast or overly dark brown. So I reset it again and it still goes one way or the other. Hubby hasn't complained about the right side, his is set for dark brown. I will be reluctant to buy another Kitchen-aid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only is this Kitchen Aid 4 slice toaster beautiful, it also is perfect for my husband and I. He likes his toast dark, and I like mine light, and we each have our side. Bagels toast like a dream (and has it's own setting). One of our friends is doing Airbnb rentals and is going to get them for her units. So attractive and does it's job so well.

It looks great which is why we bought it but it is the slowest toaster I've ever had. It takes FOREVER to get a piece of toast and it will toast one side better than the other. Also the lever to push the toast down is not always catching now. We're having to push it down a couple of times. For the money, I don't think it's a good buy. Looks great - works so so.

bought this toaster 5 years ago. The only thing we don't like about it is it is SO slow at toast ing bread. It looks great on the counter with my other red appliances and cleans up easy and fast with pull out drawers to catch crumbs. Manual lift is nice for short bread pieces or halves. Haven't had a problem with it eveer in 5 yearsm, except the slow toasting-because of that I would not recommend this toaster-maybe we "got a lemon".
