I did find a small tear in the bag so I'm sure that was the cause of the texture issues. I will be trying this again and making sure the bag is not punctured.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jerky by Country Archer is delicious! It's hard to stop at one. I love that it's made with 100% grass-fed beef and is only 70 calories and has 11g of protein. I eat it as a snack at work or in between meals .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing that drew me to trying this jerky was the fact that it is made with 100% grass-fed beef! I am no jerky connoisseur or anything but this jerky is only slightly better than the other brands you'd normally see at your grocery store. A downside would be that there aren't that many flavor varieties as of yet. I would definitely try a Teriyaki flavor!

YUMMY! This jerky has a great texture, great flavor, great size and its not overly chewy because its to dehydrated. Great for snacking or gifting. Great all year around. The texture was not hard to bite or chew as I appreciated the mild softness which made it easier for grandpa to chew. This was the most healthiest jerkey I have tried and actually liked so I even purchased the other choice (turkey) and was impressed with both. #trynatural #gotitfree

I love jerky but hate it when it feels like you are going to eaither break or dislocate your jaw with it; this doesn't cause that feeling! Great flavor while being easy to chew is a win in my book.
