Having gone through pretty much all premixed vegan nutritional shakes Orgain has won the day. My only complaint is that it has a decent amount of added cane sugar, which I don't believe is necessary and I would rather avoid. However, it is very tasty, and easy to use. For a boost sometimes I use it in place of nondairy milk in my cereal

I bought a full box, drank 3 or 4 hoping I would acquire a taste for it. Nope. In the trash it goes. It just tastes awful. It is chalky, and has an earthy aftertaste with some bitterness. What is crazy is it has 25g of carbs and 9 grams of sugar. So it is no low carb! Not buying it again. Muscle Milk and Atkins are far better.

These shakes were first introduced and given to me when I was critical while admitted at a university hospital when I couldn’t eat anything else. That was almost two years ago and I still drink them everyday as I can’t always eat solid foods. They give nutrition with a good taste. I would definitely always recommend Orgain, for their superior product as well as amazing customer service. Thank you.

One of the things I attribute to its great taste is the fact that there is no stevia in it. Many people, such as myself, abhor the taste of stevia and will not purchase anything containing it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy the chocolate plant-based nutrition shakes. They are not super chocolate-y but have a nice flavor and are not too sweet. The texture is smooth and just thick enough to have some body and a nice mouth feel. It may just be my body, and at the risk of sharing TMI, I think they have a slight laxative effect, similar to a morning cup of coffee. For me, that's a good thing. I also don't experience the gas and bloating that I have with other brands of shakes. I am vegan so I keep an eye on my nutritional intake in order to avoid deficiencies. These shakes provide me with a healthy security blanket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the chocolate flavor of the Vegan Organic Nutrition shake. I chose this shake for three reasons (four if you count the fact that it's chocolate): 1) Convenience: I golf frequently during the spring and summer and want a simple, easy to carry and grab shake that I can drink on the course. I put it in the freezer for a few hours before we head to the course and it's thick and cold when I'm ready for it. This and a piece of fruit keeps me full through the 2nd 9 holes. 2) This particular Orgain shake has cane sugar rather than stevia (or artificial sweeteners). I generally don't care for the after taste of stevia and try to avoid artificial sweeteners because of health issues. 3) And it has 16 grams of protein.

These are a great meal replacement shake for vegans or folks with milk allergies. I had to switch when I developed a milk allergy, and yes, they are higher in sugar/carbs than their milk filled counterparts, but they do the job and taste good. Other vegan options are way more chalky and bitter, and while these can have a little bit of grit if you don't shake well enough or let it settle for too long, it's minor and the solid flavor makes up for it.

After a long bike ride or a hard workout nothing satisfies me more. I've also introduced Orgain's RTD's to numerous friends as a highly effective nutritional supplement for their elderly parents and friends instead of the mass marketed protein drinks that do more harm than good. My friends thanked me.

I mentioned it to my dietitian and she told me these were a good meal replacement if I was having a hard time getting my meals in. The flavor is good (as long as they’re cold). I like knowing that I can get a decent meal in a drink and not have to worry about not getting enough nutrition.
