Misleading Offer From Roku

The marketing email advertised this device as an "Upgrade". This device does not include TV controls (Volume, Mute, Power) So my old device has capabilities that this device does not have. Roku, do not market your low-end equipment to me as an upgrade if it does not have the same capabilities as the device it is replacing.

Defective

My husband and I bought the Roku Express for our bedroom TV, and it has been stuck on the loading page for days. It hooks up, connects to the internet, then restart for an update, during the restart it stays on the loading ROKU screen and doesn’t go to the home page or let us continue set up. It is just the dancing letters for hours. So we unplug it and try again and then the same thing. Horrible defective product. Headache inducing nightmare. I called for customer support but the Roku express is not eligible for actual help over the phone. You have to look online but nothing seems to answer why it won’t get off the loading screen after the update. I just have to guess it is just broken and I wasted way too much time trying to get it work.

terrible, slow, doesn't connect to 5Ghz WIFI

I bought this a few weeks ago. LONG TIME Roku 3 user using Ethernet connection or 5 GHz. The Express has no Ethernet port. Tore my hair out trying to connect to 5 GHz WiFi until found out on Forums this cheap ROKU toy doesn't connect to 5 Ghz. (NOT MENTIONED ON THE SALES PAGHE). On default 2.4 GHz channels this takes forever to load, video sometimes stutters, and after resetting it as per instructions, the device "re-organized" my order of 150 channels that were alphabetized). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. PS - ROKU web manager. this page is screaming “turn off ad blocking to submit review” when Firefox was set to NO BLOCKING, ALL TRACKING ALLOWED, blah blah blah. Plus your support forums are showing ALL TEXT as CENTERED.

Won't stay connected to wifi

This device has been a huge pain. I have restarted it so many times, changed my wifi channel, and still it will lose the wifi connection and I can't get it to reconnect despite it saying my wifi signal is Excellent. I want to replace it w/ a better device.

Been using for 6 months and...

I have been using the express fir aboyt 6 months. It is easy to use and set up but if you use it on standard 1080p tv it can look like crap. Hbo max constantly freezes and you have to reset the device. Extremely agrivating. I put my comcast flex on same tv and WOW what a difference. The picture is so much clearer with the flex. I am so glad I got the roku for free. I would not pay money for this thing. Beware dear buyer and know your refresh rate (which is not listed here). If you have an older tv you might regret it.

Terrible picture quality. No options to adjust picture settings aside from resolution. Picture is way too dark. Can't see any fine details and everything looks amorphous. Much better picture quality on every other streaming device. Will be returning.

You've been duped by your cable company for going

You've been duped by your favorite cable company. This little gem is what all the cable companies are hoping like heck you don't find about. Because over the internet; online there is actually much more of your favorite programming and beyond for absolutely, positively nothing but the price of a little Roku Express and Bam, your streaming. An whole lot of very interesting content I don't mind saying

Constantly Rebooting-Insufficiant Power

I had this device over a year ago, and just recently,it keeps rebooting itself, interrupting my TV viewing! This really makes me so mad! And plus, if it's on a steaming channel, it jumps right back to the home screen! I'm purchasing another one which I hope is better, because I have an account with Tubi.

Perfect for anyone!

I am so happy with my new Roku! Perfect for anyone any age any generation any size! There are so many options just on the Roku channel that you may not even need another service to pay for! My kids all want one since I bought mine. My youngest is 6 and my oldest is 17. We all enjoy watching different things and exploring the features and different options for streaming what we want!

Roku Has The Best Streaming Devices

I had my Roku for 2 years. I moved went to cable and regretted I stopped using my Roku. I am back to Roku streaming. Picture display is sharper than cable. Roku streaming is far superior to cable, Roku is less expensive, and no hard sales, or no show appointments like those encountered setting up cable services.
