The see through' plastic 'water level indicator' is is frosted. So, it's already really hard to see where the water line is when you fill the coffee maker. With use it will become harder and harder to read. When you fill the water well of the maker up to the 12 cup MAX line you'll end up with only TEN CUPS in the glass coffee pot. They should just make the plastic completely see through and easy to see. A big drawback is: the cord is only a little over 2'. The water well indicator is on the rights side of the coffee pot if you're facing the front of the coffee maker. The water indicator is actually almost on the back of the coffee maker so you MUST turn the coffee maker completely around so the front is facing the wall in order to be able to see the water well line indicator. This requires lots more counterspace than you would normally think if your cabinets are only 17" above countertops. You need to pull the pot out from under the cabinet in order to get the lid open to fill the water well PLUS you need to turn the coffee maker completely around in order to see the line indicator to fill the water. Think about that if you have limited counterspace like us. And the cord is almost stretched to it's limit as well. The reason why I took a star off is: It makes a creaking sound like an old ship. Annoying. After using it for only a month the white writing that I believe said 'ON' is wearing off so you have to guess what you push to get the coffee maker to start making coffee. These are things that should have been easy to see errors in design that should've been fixed before production. If they would fix these things I would give it five stars. The stars I gave it are for: The improved taste of coffee is noticeable. Can't beat the price. All we really wanted was to be able to turn it on and make coffee. A simple coffee maker - which is what this is. We don't use the timer at all..

Makes horrible coffee going to return it! Very disappoinred!

I purchased this on 2/21. I poured water in it last night and it leaked out all over the counter. Hoping Sams gives me a refund.

I pruchaseda coffee maker in October, ans it's been giving me fits since day one. Almost impossible to put water in without spilling, almost impossible to pour a cup without spilling. Makes good coffee, though
