My first time trying it. I dislike walnuts but I figured I could avoid those. 1/4 of the bag was walnuts, but picked them out anyway before trying anything else. After doing that I finally started eating the rest. Ugh, the cashews and banana chips were soft and stale, and the the fruit had so much sugar I thought I might get a cavity. Back to buying banana chips at the grocery store and dehydrating my own fruits.

This was the worse trail mix I have had. Overall it just did not taste good. The cashews were chewy and the coconut pieces were rock hard. We thought it tasted old/stale but was within the expiration date so I don’t know why it tasted so bad. We ended up returning it.

I regret purchasing this product. The fruits taste nothing like real fruit, and the mix carries an unpleasant smell reminiscent of rancid oil. The mango pieces were especially bad, with an awful flavor that made them inedible. I had hoped for a fresh, tropical snack, but instead it felt stale and off-putting. Even my young child spit them out, saying they tasted like plastic and smelled like old dog treats. The only part I could tolerate were the cranberries, and even those weren’t enough to redeem the mix. Overall, this was a disappointing purchase and one I will not repeat.

For the price, this is a great mix. I use it often to mix with a deluxe nut mix and m&ms for my husband and kiddo. They both really like this mix because of the chunks of fruit, including little cubes of coconut (which ARE a little tough, but they prefer these versus the shreds they get in other mixes). Ultimately this is our favorite tropical mix. The variety in this mix is just too good to pass up. 5 stars.

I do not recommend this product to anyone, it’s a bag with stale nuts, overly sweetened dried pineapple and mango, and big chunk of papaya. I tried very hard to like it, but no, I have to return it to the store. No way I want to gain weight by eating this junk.

I'm on a budget %26 decided to splurge on a bag of this trail mix for me %26 my daughter. The bag was good sized, has a really good variety of nuts and fruits - I'm not a fan of peanuts, so I was glad to see there wasn't any in here like most trail mixes! BUT - the bag I got was expired almost 5 months- and tasted like it. It had that old bag plastic type taste - which was what made me look at the date, and sure enough it was way past the date. I have no issues eating dried foods that are often even a year past date - like seasonings, canned goods or dry box items...they're fine...it's a "best by" date, not necessarily an expiration date - I'm saying this to show I'm not being nit-picky about that date %26 just saying it tasted weird %26 I'm pretty sure that's why. And for that reason, I probably won't buy another one. Our nearest Sams is about 80 miles away, so I only order online. My daughter and her friend picked out the pieces that tasted "okay" but some they threw away too. If this were a nice fresh bag...I'm sure it's really good - therefore, I did give it 3 stars. If you're going to buy this, maybe go to the store to get it and make sure you get a good one. Please check dates Sam's pickers. :/
