Verona, from Sam’s, used to be our favorite coffee. But the last 3 bags I purchased have tasted a little stale %26 burnt. Not fresh like it used to be like. Tried a bag from the regular grocery store %26 it was great. If Sam’s doesn’t get this resolved, I will need to stop buying it at Sam’s, even if I have to pay a little more at the store.

I’ve been buying Starbucks Verona for years now, previously from Kroger, but have bought from Sam’s for the past 3 years. It’s the best price per ounce if you go through a lot of coffee like we do. Recently, however, the taste has changed. I’ve noticed a more burnt flavor and it seems more acidic than before. I keep checking to ensure I’ve purchased the Verona because it tastes different. Have cleaned my my coffee pot more, checked my water, nothing else is different. Lately I’m branching out %26 trying different brands to find a cleaner less burnt flavor. Not sure if this is a Sam’s change or a Starbucks change, but I’m seeing other reviews commenting now as well.

We have been buying Starbucks since their catalogue days. I'd never tried Cafe Verona, until i bought it here at Sam's Club. This is a very rich dark, mouthfilling coffee, with no acidity and a beautiful smooth finish. At $17.95 per 2 pounds it's a bargain, since one pound at Starbucks is $12.95. Give it a try, it is worth every penny.
