At our boy's 6yo check up his pediatrician said his weight was in the 6 percentile. He needed to gain weight. Being autistic and having a 'set' list of foods he ate we were very puzzled on how to introduce 'weight gaining' foods to his diet. Kai loves McDonald's strawberry/banana shakes so when we saw these shakes we thought we would give it a try...his first reaction was negative to the taste...BUT, he loves them now! he has gained 2 lbs in a week!

My daughter has special needs and is now 4. At 11 months her GI dr recommended we go ahead and convert her from formula to pediasure for all her GI issues and not gaining weight. We did and it worked great. She still drinks 1-3 bottles per day to supplement her diet. She LOVES it and it works great for keeping her growth going in the right direction. We tried organic preoducts, which I liked a lot but what keeps us coming back to Pediasure is that she still only sucks liquids from a nipple and it is so easy to just pop a bottle top on one of these and go! My daughter doesn't talk but when she sees a pediasure bottle, she throws her hands up in the air and squeals! Friends and family give it to her as presents at holidays! It's the only brand that works perfect for our needs and that I trust. I think we will be drinking pediasure for years to come. I buy it in bulk twice per month. We tried other pediasure products and they don't work well for us, but the original blue bottle, vanilla is our favorite!

I have an older child who is a very picky eater, and runs about four miles a day with sports. Her weight gain was really poor this year and her BMI was putting her in the <1 percentile on the growth chart with almost no weight gain in a year. We started making a ton of dietary changes for her with high protein, but this is one of the few high calorie things she will eat with minimal fuss. The taste apparently “tastes good at first and then starts to be disgusting”. However 8 oz is at least not a lot to consume. We got a good report from her doctor and had gained 5 pounds in 1.5 months, so it is with the price tag for those who need it.

We just found out that our little one might be allergic to dairy, she's 2 year old now, and we've been on Pediasure since she was 18 months. Back then she just didn't like the toddler's formula, I tried out whole milk but whole milk doesn't seem to have enough nutrients. So we tried out Pediasure, and she likes it. But now I'm running out of options because our LO might be allergic to dairy and we've been trying all kinds of non-dairy drink, but she doesn't seem to like it any of it; and it doesn't seem to have a enough nutrients.

My daughter was having issues every now and then with regular milk. She always looked really bloated and the Dr. switched her onto these shakes and completely off of milk. So far her stomach has went down she is doing a lot better and sleeping through the night for the first time. I am so very satisfied with this product and we will be on it for a while because she is a little over one years old.

My son has been drinking 2 of these (at least 2) daily for 5 months. He has gained 1.8 lbs. The smell isn't the greatest and I cant stand the taste, but he seems to like the vanilla quite a bit. The price is a bit too extreme,and I hate buying them just for that factor but he needs them. I would recommend this to any parent needing to supplement their childs diet. I give 4 stars only for the reasoning that they are so expensive.

My daughter (2) loves Pediasure. When we weaned her from the bottle 6 months ago, she pretty much quit drinking milk which concerned us. She is also very petite and we wanted her to gain a bit of weight. She is sensitive to dairy and gets severe constipation if she consumes too much. She loves these “shakes” and would drink multiple a day if we let her (we try to limit it to half of one bottle in the morning and the other half in the evening). These do not constipate her which is so wonderful! I wish there wasn't so much sugar in the beverage though. 14+ grams is way more than I'd like for her to have, especially since the recommended serving is two shakes per day. Otherwise, we love the product and are happy with the nutrients it provides for our growing girl!
