Protein shakes are strange. The Manufacturerer's want you to think they taste good, but they are still just a healthier version or a substitute for worse options. Enter Premier Protein: they have created a selection of flavors that are packaged for grab and go, pack a protein punch and are about the same calorie content as an 8 oz cup of milk. I'm loving this brand for this reason. As a weight loss surgical patient who is a dozen years out, I've tried many powders and several premades. This flavor pallet from Premier is one of the best. That said, you can expect an undertone of a “fake” maple taste in this flavor, and it has a very thick and sweet taste, but find me another premade brand making the same flavor better! This flavor is terrific, though, as a substitute for cream in coffee. It's very artificially sweet, and coffee balances that out. You might come close to a more true maple flavor with a powder product (though I'm not sure of many companies that have put a maple protein product out there!) but we all know those never mix without being gritty or leave powder behind when on the go. These boxes are perfect to grab and go. Keep cold as long as possible for best tasting. Walmart had a very competitive price and delivered relatively quickly, all factors considered. I bought this flavor, as well as Banana, Peach, and Caramel. I recommend all - however, Caramel and Oat Maple are best used with coffee, for the reason noted above. If you have not tried, start with the smallest quantity you can buy. I recommend this suggestion with any protein product you have not previously tried! If you are buying this as a WLS patient recently out of surgery, but in small quantities, or start a share group in your support group, because your tastes WILL change, and those samples you may have tried before surgery may taste disgusting after - and those products that were ok in your 2nd week out may not taste as good in your 6th week out, etc. When your tastes change, don't be afraid to try again later. But overall, with the extensive flavor options offered in convenient packaging, you cannot go wrong with this product.

Really nice flavor. It's very close in flavor to the caramel! Try this! I'm gonna try the apple and oats the next time.

Love the product! Been drinking the regular premier protein and the taste is great..chocolate my favorite. Now I saw the same product with Oats and tried the maple and oats. OMG, you dont even taste the oats and if you have a cholesterol problem like I do, it is a must to try. Worth the cost.

Packaging is a pain to open starting with shipping container. Bottle itself is double sealed and challenging to open without a knife or other implement. That said product itself is great. I use it as coffee creamer replacement

Good flavor but thinner than the regular protein shakes. Tried in my coffee...just little too thin, but still tasty...

I am preparing for bariatric surgery, so I wanted to try these new flavors to get a rotation going. I honestly thought I'd like the maple more than the other oats flavors, but it was a bit too sweet for me. I recommend drinking these over ice (although they can be heated up - didn't try that!), it waters down the sweetness a little. Overall, pretty good.

Sickening sweet. Was flavor I was most excited for. Now i have extra so i use it as a creamer for regular coffee, it's ok.

Premier protein has been a big part of my life for 2 years. I enjoy almost all of their flavors regularly, but I'm sad to report that this maple is such a huge disappointment. I'm a lover of all things maple - pancakes, donuts, those seasonal Oreos that I ate way too many of - and I was really hoping for a nice maple flavor from this shake. Nope. It tastes like a watered down caramel shake. I tried adding maple extract to bump up the maple flavor but the watered down shake taste overpowers even the extract. Ugh. I don't even know what to do with these now.

Nothing like the taste of chemicals and maple syrup. Blahhh! This is not Premier Proteins best flavor option. Doesnt taste like maple oatmeal, just tastes terrible.

I didn't like the flavor too strong or something my daughter drink two and got very upset stomach
