I bought these to snack in while traveling overseas. I wasn't expecting much other than something to tie me over while hiking. Most bars I've tried have a strange taste or dry or taste like cardboard. This is the first time I was blown away with how tasty a low carb bar tastes! Both bars remind me of candy bars and definitely satisfies my chocolate sweet tooth cravings. I will definitely purchase these again in the future!

I've bought these bars many times and always loved them. However this time I bought them and with one bite, I instantly knew something was wrong. The product has a really strong chemical taste almost like cleaning products, and it first burns your throat and then makes your mouth tingle and go numb. It's not normal and not usual. I wanted to believe it was in my head and tried a few more bites and I started feeling nauseated and almost vomited. Needless to say I could not even finish that one bar. I asked a family member to try as well to see if it was just me, and she instantly spat it out and said it tastes like soap and proceeded to wash her mouth out. I used to love these and think they were great, but upon noticing this problem I've found many similar reviews out there to mine. I hope this won't be a long term thing and gets fixed, if it's rectified, I will happily readjust my review back to the 5 stars I used to feel this product deserved, but if this is here to stay, I definitely will not be buying ever again.

I had chocolate shipped from a famous chocolate factory in Hawaii few years back and they told me not to be alarmed if the chocolate shows ‘whitish looking areas' once I receive it. Said this can happen anytime chocolate gets very cold or in freezing temps en route, but it will not affect quality or flavor at all. It's normal. We recently had a few days of freezing temps and yes, once these Atkins bars arrived they had that same white coating, but tasted so fresh!
