Can't help but wander if hot water in this plastic, like most any other, causes leaching of chemicals in the coffee cup? For sure it's causing more daily plastic waste for nothing more than a very mild convenience. I've also read that paper filtered coffee is supposedly better for your health because the paper filtered coffee removes chemicals that can increase cholesterol levels leading to higher triglyceride levels. I'm going back to the old way and paying half for my coffee!

Have bought this coffee for years but lately the grounds come right out with the liquid. I have to skim the grounds or toss it. It does not happen with all of the pods but keep in mind this is a new development that had an affect on my satisfaction of my morning brew. I am inclined to believe the manufacturing process has changed "in the grind ";being finer to cut costs,.Just my opinon.

We recently purchased our Keurig coffee maker and this is one I decided to try just because it looked like it would be good (Donut Shop Coffee, how can you go wrong with this?). It is just what I expected and more. This has a good flavor, not too light and not bitter, but just right for my taste. My wife even considers this a favorite and she is very choosy with what she drinks when it comes to coffee.

The flavor is heavy and complicated while not bitter. I am someone who likes the darkest roasts, and was surprised by the strength and wholesome flavor of this coffee without the bitterness usually associated with such a roast. It was a great treat when we discovered it at a retirement party. Immediately added it to our collection of Black Magic, Fire Rock Caboose, French Roast, etc.

Definitely love this Extra Bold MEDIUM roast coffee. Most of the Extra Bold coffees available on this website are a Dark Roast and are a little too strong for my taste. After trying the CP Original Donut Shop, it's hard to even drink anything else. Great in the morning, after meals and at night. Simply a brilliant coffee.

My sister and I both like a strong cup of coffee. The Donut Shop Extra Bold K-cup accomplishes a full-body taste without any bitter, acidic aftertaste. We have tried many of the Extra Bold and always go back to the Donut Shop X-Bold. Kudos to Keurig.

Got this coffee in the sample pack that came with the machine. Didn't really give it much thought at first, but when I ran out of my Kona blend I brewed this one morning. Good coffee to wake up to, and I could picture this as a typical "donut shop" coffee. It wasn't the greatest or best tasting, but not bad as a go-to brew to wake up to.

On the plus side, this coffee was everything I remember about small breakfast diner coffee... on the negative side, this coffee was everything I remember about small breakfast diner coffee. The aroma was strong and pleasant. Good flavor when I tasted it unaltered, even better when I kicked it up to my usual black, double-sweet. Unfortunately it has that thin mouthfeel that coats your tongue and doesn't seem to go away, which brings with it an almost burnt-bean aftertaste over time. I think if I'd been drinking this one with breakfast rather than on it's own, I might have enjoyed it a bit more, and I think it could make for a good breakfast coffee. I just prefer my coffee to be a bit more of an all-around coffee that doesn't require a palate cleanser to enjoy.

My father and mother are the coffee drinkers in the house. I love the aroma of brewing coffee, but can't stand the taste of any coffee. That being said...my parents love the aroma and the flavor of this coffee. My father has already stated that this is one of his go-to coffees and my mother has agreed. Most likely we'll be getting both a box of non-decaf and decaf from here on out though.

After trying a few varieties that came with my brewer, I can say I will be leaning towards medium roasts. This one is medium roast, but extra bold, meaning there are more coffee grounds in the cup, so that I can easily get two cups of good coffee from one pod (on the smaller settings, though). Or, I can get a really nice and flavorful one big cup. I use only a little bit of half'n'half in my coffee. Perfection in a cup. Very smooth taste, no bitterness whatsoever. Goes down too nice - makes me want to drink another one immediately after the first one!
