Bring back the old Ensure!

I do not like the NEW Ensure! I used the old Ensure that was pink and smelled fresh and fruity and made my hair managable, shiny and full. The new Ensure is white and is so heavy it weighs down my hair. The fullness and shine is gone. If you still have the "old" Ensure, please let me know how I can find it!!!

Very dissapointed

I too have been using this product for over 15 years. I want the old product back. This new product is horrible. It weighs my hair down and makes it look oily. I am so sorry that I spent so much on a product that I thought was good. Ensure in the past was lightweight and smelled wonderful...grapefruit. Is it possible to bring back...or do I need to search for new products.

Confused

No wonder I can't find the old Nexxus Color Ensure Conditioner and Detangler. I have naturally very curly hair and this was one of the only products that I have been able to find that would leave my hair tangle free but not weigh it down. I loved the natural grapefruit scent and how it made my hair feel. I too do not understand why companies have to change formulas. There is an old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I do not like the new formula. It's heavier and ways down my hair and does nothing for the tangles. I guess I'll have to find another product line with a similar product to get the old results that I loved.

Not as good as previous formulation

My hair is fine and a little thin, and always has been. Thirty years ago, my stylist recommended Ensure for body and shine--and I was very happy with the product for many years. It was pink and had a distinctive grapefruit odor. A pea-sized dab was all that I needed. The current formulation gives neither the shine or the body the older formulation gave. It does condition the hair, so it is OK, but I'm not sure it is worth the premium I was always willing to pay for the old formulation. Does anyone at Nexxus read these?

New formulation is TERRIBLE!

HATE the new formulation, please bring the old one back!! I have used the old color assure in the silver bottle forever and last time I ran out couldn't seem to find the product I was used to on the shelf. The only one left in the same packaging as usual was a 1L size (along with the noticeably new sulfate free version). I bought the 1L of the old packaging it but quickly wondered if there had been some mixup at the factory and whether I had somehow bought conditioner packaged in a shampoo bottle. The color was different, and there was no lather whatsoever. I added what little of my old bottle I had left on top, and then rinsed and rinsed and still ended up with some crusty spots on the underside of my hair where apparently I didn't get it all. Then it dawned on me that this must be the sulfate free version in the old bottle. I am not new to sulfate free shampoos and realize that they do not lather like normal shampoo, but this was so much worse than ANY sulfate-free I have used in the past. It is an adjustment to get used to not having lather, but at least the ones I have used in the past left my hair feeling somewhat clean at the same time, unlike this one. I don't know what I was thinking but I went out and bought yet another bottle of the only kind that now seemed to be on the shelves (sulfate-free) STILL thinking there may have been some mixup in the one before. To use the word "disappointment" would be a huge understatement. At first I thought maybe this one would work better, as it did seem to lather a BIT more than the conditioner masquerading as shampoo that I had bought before, but then I rinsed, and rinsed, AND RINSED trying to get it all out. I thought I'd gotten it all, but this stuff left my hair feeling (and LOOKING) so filmy and GREASY that I couldn't even leave the house without washing it again in something normal; I looked like I hadn't washed my hair in a week. I absolutely LOVED this shampoo before it was changed, it left my hair clean, silky, and moisturized without being weighed down, AND did well at the color-protection that the formula was meant for. But I won't be sticking with the new one. I get that sulfate-free is supposed to be gentler on color and help with fading, but the old one did a great job at keeping my color bright and fresh without this aspect, which I was really pleased about since I don't care for sulfate-free shampoos in the first place. Why try to fix something that isn't broken? I have left very few product reviews in my life, but have written a book here. That is how disappointed I was in trying the new color assure and how much I wish you would bring the old one back. It was my absolute favorite shampoo, but if the new formulation is going to be my only choice in a color-care Nexxus product moving forward, then sadly I will no longer be a Nexxus customer and will have to search elsewhere for a new favorite. Judging from the tons of other recent reviews saying the same thing, it seems I am not the only one.

Greasy scalp

Greasy hair! I thought I would treat myself to an expensive shampoo and conditioner but I am so disappointed in this product.  The first time I used it it felt as though the back of my scalp was greasy.  I thought maybe I hadn't washed out all the shampoo or conditioner or maybe had used too much he'll in my hair.  Two days later when I washed it again the same thing happened.  The third time I used these products I didn't use any products after shampooing and conditioning.  Same thing.  Now I'm hoping that if I go back to my old shampoo the grease will be gone.  Very disappointing and a waste of money!

Dislike

Please, please, please bring back the old Ensure with the wonderful grapefruit fragrance. It's the only conditioner that really worked on my color-treated, naturally curly hair. PLEASE listen to your consumers.....many people love that conditioner. I DO NOT like the new Color Assure.

Bring back old Ensure

Please...bring back the old ENsure-the peach colored, grapefruit smelling conditioner. I have never colored my hair and keep my hair cut short. I see a barber every 3 weeks. My hair is straight, full, but thin. I used the old Ensure for almost 30 years and my hair always looked great!

Formula has changed!

I used this color assured for many years for my red highlight and it was great. My color lasted almost 6 months. Now I believe the formula has changed. My hair feels dirty, greasy at the root, hair is dull, and my scalp is itching now after using 3/4 of the big bottle. I don't know what I'm going to use now.

I DISLIKE THE NEW ENSURE WITH A PASSION

I so do not like the new Ensure. The old one was the only conditioner that untangled my hair and kept it healthy. I also loved the fragrance. I have a very senstive nose and can't tolerate alot of different fragrances and I absolutely love the grapefruit scent. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring the old Ensure back. I don't understand why you would discontinue it altogether when you could have given your consumers the choice of buying both. I have had to look for another conditioner to replace the old Ensure. I WILL NOT use the new Ensure or anymore of your products until you bring back the old Ensure Conditioner. I don't understand why you would mess with perfection. I'm at a lose for anymore words.
