[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So for shampoos, I look for a few things: good price, vegan formula, good smell and that it cleans my hair. Bonus points if I can use it on colored hair. Preferably without making my already super-damaged hair worse somehow. For background: my hair is naturally course, curly, thick and tends to be dry/frizzy. I had bleached my naturally red hair to white, afterwards turned it purple/pink/blue, and now it's been stripped of that color and dyed to match my natural hair. I probably have about 4 or so inches of natural hair grown in now? Something like that. And my hair reaches my waist. Anyways it's pretty much a disaster that I merely disguise as pretty hair is what I'm getting at. This shampoo smells great and the smell lingers just the right amount. Like when you take down your hair from a ponytail and there's a nice waft of pleasant, fruity smell that surrounds you. Maybe I just notice this more because at the end of a 12.5 hour shift anything that smells nice in a hospital brings a little hint of happiness. My hair gets clean without overdrying it and causing more damage. It does everything I want it to do and it has not faded the colored part of my hair at all. Leaves the hair smooth and shiny. I would recommend this. One note: this does say "strength system." I wouldn't say this made my hair stronger (I'm not truly convinced that is a thing that can happen once you do what I have done to my mane) but anything that doesn't make it snap off more than it already does (from the previous bleaching) gets a pass on that claim.

I try and use this shampoo and the matching conditioner just to get rid of it because I hate it. Every time I wash my hair with it, much more of my hair comes out in the shower and when I comb it. It leaves my hair just the opposite of it's claims. My hair will be difficult to comb out while still wet and it leaves it very dry feeling. After my hair is completely dry, it looks greasy yet dry, like I hadn't washed it in weeks. Different strokes for different folks but I won't ever buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this shampoo numerous times over the years. My usage with it is off and on. I love the scent and how it’s so fruity and bold. It also suds up better than most shampoos I’ve tried. However, I have extremely sensitive and acne prone skin. As an adult it has gotten much harder to tolerate so many harsh ingredients like phenoxyethanol and sulfates. I also have colored hair so I stay away from sulfates, silicones, etc. if I didn’t have sensitive/acne prone skin I’d be ALL over this shampoo!! Unfortunately it’s just not for me at this time

I had a great experience with my free sample of Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Shampoo. I could tell after just a couple washes that it was working, and my hair looked smoother and softer. Even in higher humidity my hair did not frizz. The shampoo alone works great, but combined with the other products in the line really gives it that added boost to work even better.

Honestly the scent was what drew me to this product. It would leave my hair smelling super fresh and nice after a shower and my hair felt silky and nice even without conditioner. However, recently it’s been giving me a dandruff issue. I thought the dandruff was because of me. But then I decided to use my mom’s shampoo, which wasn’t Garnier for a day to try to combat the dandruff. And my dandruff was gone. I went back to my own shampoo and it was back. I tried this about 3 times and noticed that it was likely this shampoo. This never happened the other 3-5 years i was using it. Not sure if they changed the product a bit since then. But it makes me really sad that I might have to avoid this product since it was my favorite for years.

This shampoo is so amazing! It leaves my hair feeling so nice! It gets all the left over residue left by hair products! It lathers up so nicely! The smell on this shampoo makes it so hard not to fall in love with it! My hair looks and feels so good after I use this shampoo! Garnier I am so proud of this shampoo!

While I liked this shampoo and thought it did a great job of making my hair shiny and more manageable, I found that it didn't do as good of a job keeping my hair clean. By the end of the day, it looked like I hadn't washed my hair. I think it would have been excellent for someone with extremely dry hair, but for my normal (yet frizzy) hair, it didn't do well at keeping it clean. I definitely noticed an improvement in frizz, so I may use this shampoo on occasion to help fight frizz but stick with my regular shampoo the rest of the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently tried Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine shampoo! After ONE wash on a HUMID day, I did notice a difference. I personally have thick, curly/wavy, frizzy hair so I really wanted to test this product and used it for the first time on a humid day. I have to admit, I did notice that my hair was soft, less frizzy (not totally gone, but it was less), and shiny. I let my hair air dry in a braid and had beautiful waves the next day too! Did I forget to mention the smell? Well it's incredible! Yes, a shampoo that smells so good you'll want an excuse to just go wash your hair. Thank you Garnier, especially for the no parabens, no animal byproducts, and the eco-friendly containers!
