They both tear cleanly, but a bit of a firm tug is required for tearing. The texture is pleasant. Packaging was standard and non offensive. It's not as soft as the Charmin ultra soft, which is my standard at home. I feel it might be stronger than the Charmin though. Nicely absorbent.
