I can always count on Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Sponges to keep on producing good results long after I would have had to throw out competitive brands. The sponges are well worth the difference in cost at the time of initial purchase. Viva La Scotch Brite!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this on a number of things that are harder to clean. I have an older frig with the kind of textured type handles (white). It cleaned that up nicely. It's invaluable in the kitchen for the scrubbing jobs. I would recommend several b/c of cross contamination. It also works great on outdoor things, grills, furniture. I even tried it on the dogs nylon collar-after I soaked and rubbed it there was still some areas that were not quite clean and the sponge took it right off! It was especially efficient on things that weren't real smooth-such as the frig handles and dog collar. It took way less elbow grease to receive better results. And the scrubbiness of the sponge meant being able to use less chemical cleaners.

I recently was helping a friend do some cleaning at her house. Her son has the ability to turn a house upside down in a matter of minutes. I focused on the difficult cleaning jobs such as heavy burnt grease,gunk,etc. on pots,pans,appliances,etc. I also worked on sticky messes, such as gum, candle wax and glue. At the end of the day of cleaning I had went thru 2 Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges and was amazed to find how well they had worked and that they could still be used again. Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge are awesome on pots and pans. When I cook gravy in my sauce pan it usually sticks to the bottom and the scrub sponge is great for removing it without having to let it soak. I also use it to clean my burner trays when I let stuff spill down in them or boil over it does the trick on cleaning them without all that chemical cleaning products. I have used the Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge for 32 years every since I have been married and will continue to use it in the future. When you find a product that works you will stick with it. I have used the Scotch Brite products such as the erasers and the sponges for my bathroom and scuff marks and all the products are great for getting the job done.

Every time I use my Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub sponge, I think of all the times I used to use steel wool and would get those little pieces of it in my fingers..yowser! Now I get my pots and pans completely clean and shinny without the pain of using steel wool.I also love not having rusty steel wool pads to worry about..these sponges are truly the best thing to use for scrubbing your pots and pans, cleaning your sink, and so many other uses. I think I would give up just about any other cleaning item in my kitchen with the exception of these sponges!

I have stopped buying this. Its terrible for environment as it does not last long. have to be putting in microwave to stop the smell.

it is strong, last a prety good long time, it is great for the kitchen counter and for the bottom of the pots. My son has his own sponge for a fast good cleaning of his shoes.
