Kidde Twin Pack Fire Extinguisher, Rated 1A10BC

i asked a friend in the FD.  he gave this a thumbs up for household use.

replace extinguisher every 10 yrs, just my opinion

Stay in highrise and there was a fire across the street. Better to be more safe then sorry.

Easy as all should be, take out and place on a counter, if you want mounted, go buy screws.

Product from box does not provide hanging screws.

I needed to update my fire extinguishers for my house.  These were a great price for two!

Perfect - something every house needs

These came in a box with white powder leaking out. We are not sure if this was due to the delivery process or the fire extinguishers themselves. 
I would not recommend these especially because they are meant to keep you safe in case of a fire, because they obviously will not work or hold up. Wish I could have a better review but not with this item.

Defective

I keep extinguishers in everything with an engine, 3 in the garage, 2 in the kitchen (one of these and a Type K), and one by every door.  I haven't had to use one in the house, but have used them several times for vehicles/engines/other fires, and just for practice and teaching others.   If the gauge gets too low, use it to practice/teach.  They still work, just don't reach as far.  DO Remember to replace it!
I say this to show that I'm certainly not an expert, but I do have some experience with these devices.  I used to only buy the refillable type, but nowadays the disposables are much more cost effective.  
These Kiddies are easy to use, have a decent mounting bracket that is easy to install, and in my experience have a reliable gauge to determine when they need to be replaced.
It would be difficult to have too many.  For the money, I would highly recommend these ABC extinguishers.
