Works Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great. The shave gel does exactly what is suppose to do. It provides a great shave with very little irritation and moisturizer as you shave. I think the prouct is great in that it accomplishes all of those things but it is not exponentially better than the competition. I would say just slightly. The thing that amazes me and that I think is great is the design for the container. No nasty rust rings because the bottom is a plastic material. That is fantastic. Then the dispenser portion turns so that the stuff does not continue to ooze out. This is huge as mycontainer use to get very nasty and dirty. The product is only marginally better but the container is way ahead in the game!!
Fusion ProGlide 2-in1 Gel + Skin Care: Like putting on after-shave while shaving
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got to try Fusion ProGlide 2-in1 Gel + Skin Care, and I'm glad I did. The gel goes on cool, with a refreshing scent, and really protects my skin from the irritation of shaving. But more surprisingly, after I was done shaving and rinsed off, it felt like I had already put on after-shave. There was practically no irritation with just a slight hint of a fresh scent. It was always worth it to me to get the better shave creams, and Fusion ProGlide 2-in1 Gel + Skin Care is the best of the best!
Great Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to tell you about a great shaving product. I received from Gillette a can of Fusion Proglide Sensitive Shave Gel to try out for free. First let me tell you I have a tough thick beard. I have to shave every morning and if I go out at night I have to touch up my face because by 4:30 I have a 5 o'clock shadow. I have been using a shave oil for several years which helps because I also have Sensitive skin. The Gillette Fusion Proglide Sensitive Shave Gel has a nice balance of shaving gel and skin cooling gel the Ocean Breeze has a nice clean smell and is cooling and very refreshing. I don't have to put on after shave to cool down my face. The plastic bottom keeps the can from leaving a messy rust ring on the tub. The gel goes a long ways so it doesn't take much to get the bread softened up. Some of the other features that I like are the clean-dispense actuator that locks in place to prevent post-shave oozing. The new gel gauge lets you know how much you have left, so there’s no guessing when you get close and don't run out leaving searching for something to finish up with something that doesn't work as well. The only real issue is that I had to figure out how much pressure to apply because it is so smoothing I found that I was pushing to hard an ended up cutting my face up for about the first week until I was able to get it down. I would definitely recommend Gillette Fusion ProGlide Sensitive Shave Gel + Skin Care. All in all I would say the best product on the market.
best shaving gel yet!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried a lot of different shaving creams, gels, pastes, etc because I always get razor burn and irritated. My skin is also pretty sensitive. I was a little hesitant to give another one a try since I found one I liked, but this was truly great. It smells good, which is always a plus. But it left my skin feeling great and no irritation. I also really like the twisting cap because usually a little still comes out when you put it away and this prevents that. Great product. highly recommended.
Some Things Need To Remain Separate
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got my free Fusion Proglide 2-in-1 Gel in the mail two days ago. I used it first to shave a 1/4" beard, and I had to wash all of the gel out due to it burning and not allowing my blade to go through the hair easily. The second day I used it on just one day's growth, and it still did not offer a smooth shave and burned on top of the normal razor burn I endure each time I use a razor. There are some things that I think don't need to be blended. I don't want a cookie baked into my meatloaf to save me the burden of eating two separate items, and I'd rather have a shave gel that softens hair and opens pores to apply before I use my brush to apply an even coat of shaving cream. The 2-in-1 did not go on smoothly and I did not want to get the gel caught in my brush, so I don't know whether or not it would have spread smoothly if brushed on. My wife was going to use it to shave her legs instead, but she hated the Ocean Breeze smell and doesn't want her legs to burn.
Fusion ProGlide Shave Gel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette ProGlide shave gel is tops in all accounts. The gel itself goes on smoothly, and is nice and thick. It covers the beard well. I tried Ocean Breeze and was disappointed in the very light scent. I expected and had hoped the scent would be stronger; I could hardly smell it at all. The plastic ridge on the bottom of the can prevents the can from leaving a rusted ring on the sink-BRAVO. Also, the top dispensing mechanism rotates so once you're done shaving, the spout can be closed off and product doesn't continue to dribble out. Another homerun! Stellar thick product, non rusting can and no product dribbling. NOw on the next batch of they can make the scent stronger.
No Beaching here!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened my package that Igot free and was testing from my friends at buzz agent from the mail immediately once it hit my doorstep. By then I looked like a mountain men. I went straight to work. Lathered my Ocean Breeze Shave gel and proceeded to shave. The smell was invigorating and was complimented by a very nice cooling effect. This was to say the least a very pleasurable shave! The smell was indeed reminiscent of the smell of a beach the only thing it lacked was the slight coconut smell of suntan oil. I loved how my face felt very cool even after I whed my face of any left behind shaving gel. I am definitely buying more of the Ocean Breeze shave gel. I might even be bold and try the Alpine gel also. I give a big two thumbs way way up!
Ocean Breeze is tingling my face
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scent is nice. Stronger when using it, but doesn't seem to hang around like aftershave would. Dispensing the gel, lathering the foam up on my face occurs w/o incident just as other Gillette gel shaving creams. They claim some sort of clean nozzle technology, but as with any of these products there will be a bit of gel/cream that clings to the spout, dries up and is crusty the next morning. Not a big deal because they all do it. If you wipe it off it will be clean of course, but it does not keep clean by itself. Maybe if you hold the can a few inches above your other hand and let the stream free fall will it cut of cleanly. Once on my face the foam has a cool tingly sensation. Even after shaving it off and rinsing my face the sensation lasts another 10min or so. Sort of like aftershave products. Haven't used enough of the can to see the fill level change through the window. Never got rusty cans when using metal ones so that feature is a wash. Normally get 8-9 months out of a standard can, so the campaign will be over before I can report any long term findings. Gillette Sensitive Skin shaving cream in the turquoise can is my old standby. One thing I do not like about gels is that they seen to clog up a razor more than products that come out of the can as a foam already. No matter how wet or dry my face is and no matter how much or how little I lather the gel it never gets as light and foamy as products dispensed in foam form. It's more dense and sticky, clogging up the razor more. Between every swipe I'm fiddling with the razor, tapping it on the sink, water from the front, water from the back, tapping it on the sink again..... I've used other Gillette gel products in the past and find them all the same. I rather bottom of the barrel dollar store products from a competitor if they dispensed as a foam.
Very nice for a gel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this gel with the Fusion ProGlide manual razor with FlexBall Technology. Both were new at the same time. I typically prefer foams over gels, but this gel worked very well. I had a slight bit of irritation after my first shave, but none since. There is not much of a scent with the gel over others, but it is definitely not unpleasant. The Menthol left a cool feeling on my face after the shave. Not really my thing (maybe better in the summer?), but it isn't a big deal. The design of the container and dispenser was nice. I liked being able to lock the top without a separate cap. Very good product!
Like the Can, Hate the Scent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the Fusion ProGlide 2-in-1 Gel I received with my free razor. The gel was smooth, felt good on my skin, and provided a smooth close shave. I especially like the plastic can (no more rusty rings in my bathroom), and the unique top - no cap, just twist to open and close. I did not like the scent. I did not detect any scent similar to the ocean or a breeze. It seemed to have a vanilla-like scent that was way too strong. I generally like lightly scented or scent free products, and most shaving gels smell like deoderant to me, and this was no exception. Not what I want to put on my face. Scent was not pleasant, did not bring to mind and ocean breeze, and was way too stong. I would not use this product, even though I love the can and top, because of the strong scent. Too much for me.
