I was very excited to test out a razor that is able to rotate during use, reaching the hard-to-reach hard places. The razor itself looks great. Purple with pretty swirly patterns, so there is no way my hubby will confuse it for his. I first tried the razor on my legs. I was happy with the 5 blades. They provided a close shave that didn't miss any hairs. However, the flexi ball did nothing for me. I found that, in order for it to move while shaving, I had to press down pretty hard. I was extremely hesitant to do that (those blades are sharp!). So, while the razor looked pretty and the flexiball theory was unique, I didn't find the Venus Swirl to be anything special. The razor, being Gilette, is good qaulity and a smooth shave. I would buy a gilette brand again. However, I wouldnt bother with the Gillette Venus Swirl.

I found that the large head, and extra blades made for a very close shave.I didn't have to go over areas twice as I usually do. I generally end my shave regime with a few nicks, but my legs had none with this product. I had no problem keeping hold of this razor, I usually end up dropping portable razors in the tub. The ball is a unique and very clever addition, and actually does help the razor glide effortlessly across my curves. I have used this razor several times now, and it seems to retain it's sharpness well, no pulling or tugging in gentle areas. I have no razor bumps, just smooth skin. Thanks Gillette!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I recently tried the Venus Swirl Razor. The flexiball really works, handle is big with a rubber grip, does not slip out of the hands in the shower. With the cheaper shavers I find that I always cut myself and I always have to pass over a spot several times with this shaver one pass does it and I have not cut myself, it is very good quality. I also find with the cheeper shavers one has to bend in all directions to get all the spots with this shaver because of the flexiball you do not have to, this makes shaving enjoyable, not a choir. I have tried the shaver a few times and I am impressed. I can not wait to keep trying it and find out how long it lasts before it goes dull.

Here's the breakdown: Venus Swirl 5 blades MoistureGlide strip all around the head MicroFine Comb to guide hair to the blades Very comfortable contoured, non-slip handle Flexiball for a closer shave Disposable Stick Razor 2 blades small moisture strip along one side stick handle I found that I got a closer shave (on my legs and underarms). I usually shave every other day but found that I could go an extra day longer when using the Venus Swirl. It never missed any hair around my ankles. I didn't have to cringe when shaving around my ankles because I never got nicked. I will definitely be buying some refills to use in the summer!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was given the Venus Swirl Razor free from bzzagent in order to facilitate a review. I shave my legs quite often and have tried a few razors including the original Venus razor. This swirl razor is fantastic... the makers have added a flexible ball which makes it so that the razor head glides easier in those hard to get places. For instance it made getting the back of my leg behind my knee much easier to get at and i didnt need to go over that area twice. The razor blade itself has five blades which is much better than the original razor that had only three. If you shave often you will only have to go over your leg once with the new razor and it leaves you with no hair which is a time saver then having to go over the leg lightly once more. I also found that because of the flexible ball and five blades it took care of my under arms well. The design of the razor itself looks nice also. I haven't had a chance yet to purchase more blades as i haven't needed to yet and ive used it quite a bit so i don't know how pricey those are but if having a clean shave easily is worth it then the price I'm sure is worth it too.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the best razor I have ever used. It has a very close shave.it bends around your knees very easily. It is very easy to use.the packaging is good. You have to insert the blade into the arm of the razor. It locks in easily and stays there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a girl with sensitive skin, finding the perfect razor was hard for me. The razor would always nick my skin or leave red bumps on my legs after shaving. As a last resort, I wound up using a men's razor since I heard that more blades would be best for obtaining a smooth shave with sensitive skin. So I had been using a men's razor to shave until the Venus swirl razor came out. Finally there is a women's razor with 5 blades that gets a nice close shave without nicking my sensitive skin. The razor just glides gently over the skin and the swivel ball helps to get around the rough areas like the knees. It was funny because the next day after I tried this razor, one of my friends was saying how she had to wax because she also had sensitive skin (ouch!). I told her about this razor and the success I had with it and now she want s to give it a try. I recommend this strongly to women with sensitive skin who want a nice close, nick-free shave.

The shave is so close without the razor burn. I go this Razor last week and used it that night in the shower without shaving gel, i need to be able to see if there is a difference. I had not shaved my legs waiting on this razor and so far i am very pleased. plan to shave again with the gel in a week or so. more to come

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was excited to try this razor out, and was hoping it would be an amazing razor compared to others that I have tried. Unfortunately, I didn't think the technology was all that spectacular. Yes, the razor was a good razor, I just didn't see any benefits using this razor with its flexiball technology. The razor gave me a nice close shave that lasted longer than a disposable razor would. The razor itself is also long lasting. My leg hair grows thin and slowly, so I generally only need to shave once a week. I have been using the same razor head since it was sent to me (about 6-7 uses now) and it still does the job fine. The moisturizing strips are still going strong and the blades are still keeping a nice close shave. When I first used it, I wasn't able to feel the blades slide along my skin at all; I can a little bit now, but I feel partly this may be because I have extremely dry and sensitive skin. I have not experienced any razor bumps or rashes from the blades though which is a plus. In regards to the technology, I think it is a nice concept to be able to shave tricky spots easier, but I personally have never had that issue with any razor before, so this was a unnecessary feature for me. If I did struggle with shaving my knees, or ankles, this may have helped me, but because I don't find it difficult to shave these areas, I am not able to properly judge this feature. Would I repurchase this razor? Probably not, I just personally don't find it worthwhile to spend the extra money for the flexiball when there are other similar razors (head wise) out there that are less costly.
