With the needles in a drum I do not have to deal with always loading an individual lancet. It makes testing easier.

It is working perfectly and properly . I use this to test my BG every day and buy the lancets every month .

It’s great for testing away from home, with much less to keep up with and dispose of. I wouldn’t want to go back to traditional lancets.

hard to get to work, once i finally got it to work right it was on the last lancet so thats a very expensive lancet

I used Accu-Chek products before and bought this lancing device for blood glucose testing with good expectations. However, I only wanted a simple holder for using with my box of lancets. My mistake: I did not realize it came with imbedded lancets. The instructions are voluminous and I assumed operation would be intuitive and tried to assemble the device intuitively--big mistake. I put the lancet holder into the pen but it didn't seem to go in right so I pulled it out and kept retrying. Later, I discovered in the fine print that you can not reinsert it once removed--rendering my device unused and useless. I think this lancet device is way over-designed and poorly designed. Sometimes, when testing, I don't get a blood drop and have to reset the lancing depth. I do and reuse the same lancet. My finger site is still sterile and if there is any minute blood on the lancet it is mine and not going to contaminate me or the sample. I don't think the Accu-Chek device allows reuse with failed attempts (not confirmed). Using a lancing device is simple if the device is simple--this one is not. And I cannot imagine how expensive buying six imbedded lancets at a time is compared to a box of say one hundred typical lancets. If you can't safely use the basic lancet device, this device may be for you but Buyer Beware.
