Now, in all fairness, we live in Phx, Az...so it doesn?t get THAT cold. But this little thing works great to take the chill out of the bathroom or bedroom, etc.... Our house temp is mid/high 60s...so it works great for us. Not sure how it will work if it gets really cold. We can sleep with it on, and it isn?t very noisy and doesn?t seem to be as drying as the turning on the heat. It did have a little smell the first time we used it, but haven?t noticed it again. I was a tad concerned with some of the reviews...but for the $35...worth it! And Sams has such a great return policy, so we aren?t super worried. I would recommend this.

I have had Lasko heaters before and loved them But this one is not simple\easy to use . I would have sent it back but needed a heater immediately esp one that oscillates. So let kept it. It suffices. This is not an improvement over the old ones

I’m sure for a very small area this would be ok. I like this brand and I have a larger one that I like much better. Too small for what I need and the area I need it for. It does put out the heat, but you need to be pretty close to it to feel the heat.

As a heater it has some nice features and works well but the part that drives me crazy is the fact that the heater emits a loud shrill beep with every button you push. Chang setting from High to Low, BEEP! Want to change the temp from 65 degrees to Max, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP! (no joke 5 beeps for that) Turn on oscillation BEEP! Turn on or off, BEEP! For some the beeps won't be a bother, for others, like me, the beeps will be super annoying. Manufacturer, please add an option to silence the beeping so my entire office doesn't have to hear/know every time I change something on my heater.

Really like this heater and it is the perfect height to place on top off a dresser and the remote control is extremely helpful. Only thing I do not like is that having bought Lasko brand in the past, my experience has always been that there is a safety button on the bottom of the heaters in case the heater is tipped over it shuts off automatically, This heater does not have that safety button and it is worrying as it could start a fire.
