I recently bought 2 of these a few weeks apart, making a total of 5 Lasko tower heaters purchased over the past 15 years, I think all from Sam's Club. The small footprint is great, the oscillation heats a room quickly, and the tall-tower design SHOULD allow for convenient operation from the top-mounted control panel. Unfortunately, these latest 2 have the control panel located down low. This means you'll have to stoop to operate the unit in case you'd prefer that to fetching the remote, or if the remote ever dies (as have my 2 oldest ones).
Worse, the temperature sensor picks up floor-level temp, confirmed by my infrared thermometer. So even after the heater brings the space up to a toasty 71 degrees at sitting or standing height, the thermostat may still think it's only 66. The result is that the heater never cuts off, as-if it didn't have a thermostat at all. Adjusting the set point way down doesn't really help; it's just a bad design.
The advertised product is the 'Lasko 32" Ultra Digital Tower Heater Model CT32950', and that's what was in the store when I bought the first one in November 2017. It's still being advertised today, but when I went back to get the second one in December it had been replaced by the CT32960. I was hoping the flaws of the CT32950 had been corrected, but the CT32960 is basically the same unit. The controls are oriented vertically on the right edge instead of horizontally, but they're still down low on the unit (see pic). The temperature sensor is still way off. You won't find the CT32950 or CT32960 either one on Lasko's web site, but they do feature a similar CT30710 that puts the control panel back up top where it belongs (you just can't get that one at Sam's).
On the up-side, the heaters look good and are extremely quiet, apparently due to a new, larger squirrel-cage fan design. This fan seems to distribute the heat better throughout large rooms compared to the earlier models. We have one of our older Lasko tower heaters in a large master bathroom suite and one of the new ones in the garage. Both heat the spaces well. The CT32950 and CT32960 are both a good buy, despite the faulty controls.
