It does the cleaning fine and does not fade the colors away. And it has a very pleasant smell.. The colors on the clothes are vibrant, like they are popping out of them.. I love it. This product did help to remove stains out of a few of my shirts but I didnt notice a difference with my jeans. I guess it depends on how old the stain is, type of material, and type of stain.
