I've had two of these running 24/7 in my backyard for months. Go outside at night, you get eaten alive by mosquitoes! You're better off buying spray with DEET and citronella candles.

This thing has never worked the lightbulb didn't work from the first day we purchased! None of the others work either. Taking it back to Sams! Save yourself!

I bought this in spring and changed out bulb. Has worked wonderfully until recently. Changed for football season. Does clear out bulbs. That said, impossible to change bulb. Clearly not built by Americans with normal size hands. Cannot fit in hand to remove the screw and thereby get in replacement bulb. My ten year old son helped. Unsure what I'm going to do when his hands grow. Basically made for a single season or similar.

I can't believe how awesome this Dynatrap is! When I was checking out at Sam's, a man behind me in line, told me to make sure and empty it at least once a week. I have and for the past 3 weeks it's been full every time. I can't believe how much carnage is in there. I have not seen any bees or wasp in there mostly just moths, mosquitoes, flies and I don't know what else. I have recommended this to all my family and friends. Because I get eaten up by mosquitoes, I want them to have it at their homes when I come visit. Lol

Have been using this unit for year. We just moved last year. Our old neighbors noticed more mosquitoes when we left as a result they bought their own unit. Our new neighbors noticed less mosquitoes in our backyard and have purchased their own, and they claim it's made a big difference in reducing mosquitoes bits. It's not a huge sample size, but 3 for 3 people have noticed a big decrease/increase in mosquitoes bites with/without the unit.

After reading reviews I was excited for the idea to be rid of mosquitoes. No such thing happened. It is great for moths, which we were also having a problem with, but not worth the price for just moths. Also, I find the space it is supposed to cover a joke in comparison to the few feet it actually covers , again you could be standing next to it and it's only use for mosquito is to illuminate your skin in a pretty purple light making it more attractive to the mosquito.

The amount of bugs flying around has definitely gone down, the catcher is always getting filled. My only issue is that there are wasps in our yard, I knocked down all hives I saw before we bought this and it said it would kill wasps but does not. There are hundreds of bugs in catcher but no wasps. True they were not as bad this year, so it helped a little, but didn't catch any. I mostly bough it because of the wasps but it has made it better to be outside dispute doing little for the wasp issue.

I was skeptical that this would work for flies, but after reading the instructions and letting it run 24/7 we are now able to use our backyard with minimal flies bothering us! Before our patio/backyard were covered in flies. We are maybe 6 or so miles from a diary farm which contributes to the flies. I'm shocked at how well this has worked and while I've not talked to my neighbors I'm sure they have noticed a difference as well. We also were getting this massive quarter sized mosquitoes, which I'm glad to report I have not seen since I turned the Dynatrap on. I highly recommend this product and when people ask I do! For a reference I live in Arizona.

I've had this for over a year now, works great. It does get more moths than anything. To the reviews that say it does not get mosquitos, this may be due to the large mix of bugs and it's hard to single them out. I dumped my bucket into a clear bag and saw plenty of mosquitos amongst the moths. I am still on my first bulb also of which it came with replacements. I have mine on running 24hrs a day for the whole spring/summer season in heavy rains, heavy winds, just set it back up a month ago. I empty it every couple weeks. The fan hasn't died but has stalled a couple times due to larger things getting in there. Make sure it's far enough away that frogs can't jump into it. The base isn't the most rigid but as long as you put it together tightly you shouldn't have any issues

My husband didn't think that this machine would work but we had so many moths and other bugs on our veranda that he told me to go ahead and order it so we got it, plugged it in and we were both shocked and convinced by how great that it works when we emptied the basket. This machine even stays standing during some of our windy days, no problem! I'd say...try it as you have nothing to loose.
