Shantel, we're very sorry you had that experience. When dish water is left standing, cooling down from hot speeds up the spoiling of food waste on dishes, which causes that layer of smelly slime on your dishes and dishcloth. To clean a smelly dishcloth, launder cloth in hot water and detergent with some bleach. To prevent it happening, try adding the dish soap to hot running water (115 Degrees F / 47 Degrees C), then swish the water gently to disperse the detergent throughout the water BEFORE adding dishes and don't allow washcloth to soak in dish water.
