The product doesn't gel form, it's completely cotton. It does the job, but if you need a faster dry or a clean wick feeling try something like a gel guard depends. This is a good way to substitute for period underwear.

Since I am allergic to many odors, unfortunately these wreaked with an overbearing, obnoxious odor that I couldn't stand. Threw first one away, rest are sealed in a bag considered UNUSABLE. They were also a terrible fit.
