I got three free samples in the mail..used one packet on my comforter and it still smells great. even with my dog sleeping on my bed, it still has a lasting scent. I used another packet on my laundry but it made me itchy. I have sensitive skin but regular detergent doesn't irritate it. Just my opinions.

I am not sure why it would not allow me to select more than two for value, because these are absolutely worth the price. Downs line of odor defense products are my absolute favorite...they leave your clothes smelling fresh and feeling incredibly soft. I received a free sample of Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield and I love it! I usually use unscented laundry soap because most scents are too powerful and cause irritation on my skin. With this you control how little or how much you use and it smells amazing! I love the April Fresh scent. I just wish it also was a fabric softener which it doesn't seem to be.

For someone who is obsessed with things that smell fantastic, I am definitely obsessed with Downy Fresh Protect Beads. My linens and clothes smelled just as good coming out of the wash as the bead did going in! I love crawling into bed and my sheets smelling like April Freshness days after laundry day. I will definitely continue to buy and use the Downy Fresh Protect Beads, I just wish that there were more variety of scents.

I've always been a fan of Downy, and this product is no different. I threw these in-wash odor shield beads in with my laundry and noticed a wonderful difference right away. I live in New Orleans, where the climate is extremely hot and humid in the summer, so my clothes can get a little smelly, especially if I'm outside all day. This really helped my clothes smell fresh again and stay smelling fresh. I received a sample for reviewing purposes, but this review is completely honest. I'll be buying some more of this stuff soon!

Reading the packaging, I was looking forward to finding something that had a little something extra as I am a six day a week gym-goer and my clothes never seem to hold any kind of 'nice' smell to them. I was saddened to discover that my dryer sheets had overpowered the spell of the Downey Fresh Protect when I took my clothes out of the dryer. I also don't think they clothing really kept any smell as the day progressed or during/after my time at the gym. It may have just been the particular scent, but I really didn't notice that big of a difference. I tested Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

So easy to use. I normally just toss these right into the downy ball and then throw it into the washer at the beginning of the wash cycle. The first time using the scent was a little too strong, so the next time I use about 1/3 less than the recommended. It worked out much better.
