I am not much of fan of scented anything when I do my laundry. I like my clothes to smell like nothing, I do buy scentless detergents and sheets. Which the reason I stay away from fabric softener since it always has a scent. I did try these since it has order protection and when you like in desert like I do, you tend to sweat almost year around. I tried on my most used clothes, which are my gym and work clothes to see if they hold up to test. I was completely surprised that my clothes did not smell like sweat at all, throughout the day I kept taking quick sniffs of my work clothes and after a two hour training session still smelled like April fresh. You just shake the beads in your washer as you would normally add detergent and done. I would recommend this to anyone that needs 24 hour odor block but the only down side for me is the scent. If these come without a scent, I will buy. I tested your Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are your own.

I love the April Fresh scent of this product, and I love how the fragrance stayed with my clothes even after they were folded and put away. Before I tried Downy's product, I have only ever used fragrance dryer sheets, which don't lend much of any fragrance to the clothes at all. But Downy's April Fresh left my clothes smelling sweet and lightly perfumed! A definite great buy.

I am loving these beads! I admit, at first I was hesitant to use them because I though it was an unnecessary addition to normal washing, but let me tell you I was wrong! I was gifted these samples from influenster for my honest review. I tried one of the samples I received from #influenster on my husbands work socks (that always end up reading like bleach!). Wow! I was surprised that the bleach smell was non-existent and a lovely fresh scent remained! Because of that alone I am sold! I also did a load of our beach towels that we used at our week away at a lake house and the smell fantastic! You definitely need to try these, you'll be hooked!

My family has used Downy products for years, so when I received samples of the In-Wash Odor Shield, I wasn't very hesitant to try it. I was a little overwhelmed with how much was in the packet & how the directions said to use the whole thing with a load of laundry, so I made sure I had a seriously FULL load (shirts/socks/underwear/sweats, towels, bed sheets/pillowcases - anything that could carry a smell after use). I was impressed! Since my job requires a lot of moving around & comes with a lot of messes, I was glad this product took away ever odor & left a (rather potent) fragrance. Maybe it's just me & the fact that the scent wasn't my favorite, but it was a little strong for my liking, so based on that, I would suggest using less than the directions advise. Still, it was just the boost my laundry needed. Overall, it's a good buy. Do I think it's necessary? Not really, but I could see myself buying this every once in a while.

Absolutely love these Downy Fresh Protect Beads !! They're especially good on workout clothes that always have that pesky scent that's hard to get rid of. It's super easy to use and the price looks great, I've already looked up the prices so I can stock up on it! My clothes smell AMAZING after a wash!! I love Downey and this is another great product, so easy to use.I love any scent beads but these are by far my favorite. My laundry smells amazing as well as my whole house while I'm washing clothes! I received this product for free but this is my honest opinion!

I loved the Downy April Fresh. It smelled AMAZING. When I dropped them in and started the load, I began smelling the product immediately. After my load was complete, my entire apatment smelled great. I received this product for free, but am excited to purchase this after using it.

I absolutely LOVED the smell of this product. I was given two small free samples, and I used one in my car, underneath the seat, and my car smelled so fresh! I appreciated the packaging as well, I didn't feel that my dog could get into it, and I could open it easily.

I normally use detergent as well as fabric softener, so I was excited to try this Fresh Protect product. Maybe I didn't really quite understand what the purpose was for the product... I'm not sure. I was expecting it to be a fabric softener or dryer sheet replacement product, and I don't think that it is. I tried two different loads.. one usually my normal combo of detergent along with a fabric softener, PLUS the scent beads, inside of my washer.. and my normal dryer sheets in the dryer. And then I tried a second load where I only used detergent and the scent beads, with no added softener and no dryer sheet. I didn't notice any difference in smell or feel in my first load, and in my second load with only the scent beads .. I could definitely tell I didn't use fabric softener, and I could definitely tell I needed to use a dryer sheet. I mean, the product smells good.. but I'd save my money.
