These beads give a great fresh scent to your laundry! I like to throw them in with my bedding and towels, especially on special occasions, like when having overnight house guests. I tend to stay away from products that have a strong scent, as those can irritate my allergies. Because of that, I wouldn't use these as part of my regular laundry routine. But the scent is a very nice, fresh smell, that lasts! I tested these Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own!

Let me start my saying that when I opened my sample this was the first thing that I smelled and it was amazing! It was nice and "Fresh" it was not overpowering at all like what I have experienced with some other laundry scented products in the past. I was really excited to be trying this as I new about the Scent Beads in the past but had never tried them. My husband works in an environment where he gets oils all over his clothes and no matter how hard we have tried, we have not found a way to mask the scent, so this was the perfect product to finally be able to use on his clothes to see if we could finally get that stinky oil smell off of his clothing. I found that the Downy® Fresh Protect was really amazing at getting rid of that nasty oily smell on his work clothes. Not only is this product really easy to use, (just pour the measured amount into your laundry while you washing your clothes), but it is great smelling and it is effecting at controlling odor.

I've always used fabric softener beads and loved them. I thought they were great. Then I used these gems! They're absolutely amazing! There even better than the other leading brand I use. The smell is amazing. It leaves my clothes smelling fresh and soft. I can smell it still on clothing I've folded and put away days past. I will use this over and over again. Won't be going back to my other brand!

These laundry scent beads smell so good! And, the freshness lasts! I love how it doesn't leave a residue like dryer sheets (which I'm allergic to). I use detergent and these, and then use dryer balls, and no fabric softener, but I still get Downy fresh clothes! Especially helpful with towels and sheets, and the laundry of boys who play sports, lol!

I like the scent, but sometimes the balls get stuck on my clothes instead of fully dissolving. It does always leave my clothing items smelling amazing that's for sure. Usually you can find it on sale or with a discount coupon so that is helpful. I haven't had any allergic reaction to it, but I am not sensitive to scent so I expected good results.

It has a wonderful smell to it but I didn't really notice the smell that good on my clothes. I am constantly doing laundry and they are a little pricy for me. I enjoyed getting samples of it but I highly doubt it is something I would buy myself. I recieved them as samples to try and the opinions are my own.

I put these in the washer before adding the clothes and they smell AMAZING. They smell so clean, I almost don't want to get them dirty again. They are a bit unusual since they look like a packet of pink squashed rice. My boyfriend actually saw these and used it regularly so I got pretty excited. THESE ARE AMAZING, weird, BUT AMAZING! I went through a full workout and my clothes still smelled fresh out of the laudry. They had been laundered about a week prior so I was shocked they still smelled so good after so long and after a workout. Might be a new holy grail product. Now I understand why my boyfriend likes these so much!
