I'm a very active person - running, cycling, swimming, etc. - so my workout clothes get pretty stinky and the smell tends to stick around even after a wash. I got the Downy fresh protect as a free trial and I was excited to try it. It definitely helps with the smell, but the little flakes don't always dissolve fully and did leave a pink powder on a few of my shirts. However, I'd still recommend it for the de-stinkifying effect (I know that's not a real word but it works).

I love Downy i love how soft it makes my clothes/towels feel. The scent is wonderful it's just right not to much or too little. This is a great product. I love the fresh scent. It left my clothes smelling fresh and lovely. It lasted a long time and prevented that smell that clothes can get when they sit in a dresser. I received this complimentary product from influenster for testing purposes.

Oh my goodness. If you want wonderful smelling sheets and towel this is a must buy! I usually do not use any fabric softener just for the sake of saving money but now that I have been able to try out this product I might just be a life long buyer. I don't use it on regular loads of laundry just because you wear it once and then wash again but sheets and towels are great for this product, keeps a long lasting wonderful smell. I loved these beads for adding to my batch with my comforter. It's great to smell the April Fresh scent whenever I go to bed or take a nap. I liked how I didn't have to use very many. A little went along ways. I was alittle worried about the beads not completely dissolving though. I had to pick a couple beads off my comforter I hang dry.

I am a huge fan of the Downy fresh protect with febreze in wash odor defense. Anything to give the extra freshness boost to my family's laundry! These are a dream. I sprinkle them in the bottom of the washed with thea unary detergent and the clothes remain fresh smelling, like just washed laundry, for a very long time! You can smell it working it's magic when you are moving around and the fabric gets rubbed. It's not a perfume scent, but a nice subtle freshness. I never do a load of laundry without these! The beads smelled amazing! My entire laundry room smelled great long after the wash was complete too! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the package could not be easily opened; there wasn't a slit to assist with tearing it open. Using my teeth was not ideal.
