I've never bought the downy beads before. I always wanted to but never did. I wasn't sure if we needed them. Well that was until we had our little boy. Things sure did change once he started spitting up and pooping everywhere! Sorry for the tmi but it's the frigging truth. Babies stink things up for sure. And God help you if you don't wash the milk stained clothes right away. That's where these handy dandy downy beads come in full play. They take that odor right out and replace that gross smell with a much better one and it's not too over powering or fake smelling. You know what I mean, like the smell of a cheap candle vs a Yankee candle. These are the Yankee candles of the laundry department. I love these little guys- I shake them into my laundry every time I do a load. I even shake a little extra in when it's towels and sheets so they are extra fresh smelling. The built-in odor protection is great. Best part of all they do not irritate my sensitive skin. Glad I received these for testing purposes from influenster- all thoughts are my own though.

I have been using downy products for a while and they gave never disappointed. This one was no different it made my clothes even the entire smelled fresh and cleaned. The scent lasted on the clothes for awhile. I would definitely recommend anyone to use if you want fresh laundry that last for a long time. i love this product it leaves your clothes smelling fantastic, even after taking it off the dryer. Usually with similar products that i have tried once i put the clothes in the dryer and take them out the smell its just not the same. with this one the clothes stay smelling fresh. The only thing is that its a bit over priced

Hi friends! Let me start with I grew up using Downy products. The scent give me great memories. My mom would use soften on all blankets. However ithe scent is too strong for me as an adult. I love how soft the fabric is but I can't use it. I tried it again but it's too much. Maybe there is a scent free version out there. I will keep trying. I was sent the samples from Influenster and these are my opinions.

These not only made my towels smell fresh, my laundry room and hallway smelled good too! They were easy to use in my front loader washer. I used with Tide Free detergent. I would not have bought them without trying a sample. I was lucky to get to test the Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

I'm a very active person - running, cycling, swimming, etc. - so my workout clothes get pretty stinky and the smell tends to stick around even after a wash. I got the Downy fresh protect as a free trial and I was excited to try it. It definitely helps with the smell, but the little flakes don't always dissolve fully and did leave a pink powder on a few of my shirts. However, I'd still recommend it for the de-stinkifying effect (I know that's not a real word but it works).

I'm not a fan of laundry, but who is? However, when I place my clothing in the wash with the "Downy Fresh & Protect" it has helped keep my cloth smelling better for longer. The only thing I would reccommend is to use less than what the directions ask for as it is concentrated and the scent will over power the clothing. Other than that, it's a great and feasible product that is affordable. A little goes a long way. I have tested downy fresh protect beads for free but all of the opinions above are my own.
