I tried this product in my wash. I placed these downy fresheners in my wash, then loaded the clothes. When I opened the wash upon completion, the laundry smelled lovely. The pink pellets disintegrated in the wash. My folded clothes smelled great even days later when I put them on. The smell is like fresh flowers. I would highly recommend trying this product to get your clothes smelling great! I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

I received a few test sample packages of the Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh in the mail (for free!) as a trial, and they are hands down my new favorite thing to use in the laundry room. I have used them to wash y sheets and blankets with and it keeps them smelling fresh and clean for DAYS! I plan to use them when I wash my workout clothes too. So excited that it works so well!

I normally use detergent as well as fabric softener, so I was excited to try this Fresh Protect product. Maybe I didn't really quite understand what the purpose was for the product... I'm not sure. I was expecting it to be a fabric softener or dryer sheet replacement product, and I don't think that it is. I tried two different loads.. one usually my normal combo of detergent along with a fabric softener, PLUS the scent beads, inside of my washer.. and my normal dryer sheets in the dryer. And then I tried a second load where I only used detergent and the scent beads, with no added softener and no dryer sheet. I didn't notice any difference in smell or feel in my first load, and in my second load with only the scent beads .. I could definitely tell I didn't use fabric softener, and I could definitely tell I needed to use a dryer sheet. I mean, the product smells good.. but I'd save my money. I live in an apartment complex and we have community washers/dryers available. Unless I purchase a product with a heavy fragrance, I tend to smell what the person before me used in their wash. But with this product, the April Fresh fragrance was so light to the smell. I received this as a free sample but I will definitely be purchasing to replace my current fabric softener. I can't wait to use it again!

I've grown up with Downy and was excited to try to this product. I love the Apr Fresh scent and was excited to try this bead in my laundry. It was easy to use and did not leave any weird residue on the sheets. I enjoyed how long lasting the scent was on my sheets. First off the smell is of these beads are amazing, I decided to wash my sheets and use this downy product to freshen them up, they are easy to use and even after 2 weeks I can still smell them on my sheets. These are awesome I would highly recommend them.

I don't usually use scent boosters in my laundry for fear of our skin going crazy... After using these in one load and realizing they were OK I had to keep using them! Love this product! After the wash, it leaves a mild, floral fresh scent in the laundry. The scent is not overpowering and is only noticeable when held at a close distance. The scent tends to linger for a few days after the clothes have been dried and put in your closet or drawers - which I love! These beads have provided my laundry with a fresh scent. April fresh has always been my favorite scent and these beads ultimately enhance my clothing and sheets.
