I'm obsessed with the smell of Gain Original scent. I don't have a preference between powder or liquid, I'll use them both. I would use the flings, but they are more expensive and you can't adjust for a smaller load. I also find that my clothes are still comfortable if I don't use fabric softener when I use Gain detergent.

Did something change?

I have been using Gain OrIginal Scent for my entire life and always loved it. However, recently I’ve noticed that my ”clean” clothes and towels have an odd smell, similar to greasy kitchen towels. I havent changed anything... Did the formula change??

All of our powders did go through a formula upgrade in May, however, you should be getting an even better scent experience that sticks around long after your cycle is over. Since this isn't how we'd expect your laundry to smell, we'd like to gather a few more details to look into this. So we can get you back to clothes that smell as good as they look, could you please give us a call at (800) 888-4246?

Growing up my mom always had this on hand. The scent was addicting. The liquid form is definitely easier to use and less messy in some ways. It is cheaper than the liquid form and performs about the same on laundry which is probably why my mom chose to get it all the time. I don't use it anymore because I found another detergent I prefer.

Positive in loyalty to what I like

I've been using Gain laundry powder for years because I don't use it as fast as the liquid or pods. It's getting difficult to find it on shelves in the store. I'll have to find something else if they discontinue it because I don't like the alternatives.

damaged box on arrival

the box of Gain was not sealed, laundry powder was all over everything in box that was packaged with. the packaging in the box was done poorly, no padding material was placed in the shipping box allowing all the products inside to fall around inside. this is probably why the box of laundry powder was busted open.

This smells amazingggg! Whenever I do the laundry it gets the work done. It comes in a pretty good box, so it lasts you long, unless you got a big family. I would say it is affordable for how huge the box it comes in. You should buy I'm sure your gonna love it!

This is also one of my favorite powder detergent. Lasts me a long time because I use less than if it was the liquid detergent. It also gives enough foam and you don't need to use a lot. Clothes comes out fresh and clean. I recommend either this or the liquid tide. My go to favorites

Gain powder detergent is the first powder detergent I've ever tried, and then I tried a few more. But this is the only one that does not stain my dark clothes. Also it leaves that clean odor in my clothes for weeks, I recommend it. And I will keep using it.

This product makes me itch all day. I tried it for a week and I was always itchy until I switched back to liquid detergent. It leaves spots of powder if it is not rinsed out all the way. I can mix it into the water before I add my clothes and I still get white spots on my clothes. I do not like this product, I would just get the liquid stuff.

My favorite laundry detergent

Paired with any Downy fabric softener is how I like to use my Gain. Your washed items are clean & have a pleasant smell. For example.. if you wash your curtains (if they can be machine washed), your family & visitors will notice your home has a fresh smell... but won't know where that wonderful smell is coming from. ;o)
