I luv original Gain! I used the liquid for many years until I realized the powder is actually better %26 more economical. All you need to do is put the water on 1st, then add the soap %26 once almost full add clothes. you get way more washes with dry detergent. It's just as good, if not better, as long as you know how to use it properly, it's a game changer.

Love using powder instead of liquid bc i can control how much soap i actually need and not paying for the water that's already in the liquid bottle and also having concerns about using plastic jugs that some say really aren't recyclable but the powder is in a paper box.

We've been using GAIN for years, back when we used to hang our clothes on the line outside!!! We've tried to use other brands, even store brands, but it's not the same as using Gain. It cleans sooo good, leaves everything smelling fresh for days on end, and it's worth the buy.

I get powder detergent to be eco-friendly. That being said, this detergent does the job - I don't notice it cleaning any better or worse than regular detergent, so that's a win for me. I use it in a front load HE washer, and there is no residue on the clothes like used to happen with the tide pods.

I love this Gain powdered laundry detergent because it's economical (size wise) and smells great. I mix it with my own homemade powdered laundry detergent which consists of borax and laundry sanitizer. I have a top load washer and I just take a scoop and I mix it in a jar with warm water and put it in my washing machine with my clothes. It works really well.

Gain powder laundry detergent has always been a staple in my household. It smells great and cleans my clothes very well. I get more control of how much product I'm using with powder and it lasts longer than the liquid without sacrificing quality. Highly recommend.

I never liked powder detergent unless it was for white clothes. That was until the liquid Gain and the packs box were out of stock and since this is the only brand I use, I was practically forced to try this one. But the moment I tried it I fell in love. The scent is stronger and last longer on the clothes. It dissolves completely, the clothes come out cleaner. It doesn't matter if all your laundry is made out of black clothes, you won't get any residual or white spots at all. It's incredible.

This item arrived in shrink wrap packages in a box with flour tortillas that were packaged in two layers of plastic wrap. However, the tortillas tasted like Gain to the point that our mouths burned like we had eaten a chemical. The tortillas were inedible and dinner was ruined. I had to return the rest of the tortillas.

The product itself is great. However, Gain has changed it's packaging. There use to be a lip around the top when you opened the detergent to prevent from spilling. There is no longer a lip and the detergent is filled to the brim. When you scoop it out, it spills.

I do like this, but I don't notice the “clean smell” that shows on the commercials. It's made me realize that better detergents are definitely more concentrated so you do use less, you do get your bang for your buck! However, I've used Xtra for years before Gain and it cleaned just as well using extra product.
