Customer reviews for Poise Incontinence Pads for Women, Moderate Absorbency, Regular (252 ct.) forDon't waste $$ on "new and UN-improved!!" ...
I WAS a LOYAL consumer of Poise Pads -- the new contourfit? I will not buy Poise again! Assuming I didn't need to check the packaging for potential changes each time I buy from Poise ... I failed to notice the design change to "ContourFIT" and purchased a large bag of pads ... believing I was buying the same, reliable pad I've used for years. In fact, I purchased 2 bags -- same color scheme, same number ... 2 different pads. The design is too wide at the top/bottom; nothing to hold down the elastic at sides (looks diaper-esque ... and DOES NOT FIT my body correctly!!: as someone else wrote, it bunches! The elastic sides are rough against my skin). I'm a wheelchair-user and chose Poise as protection against occasional issues. My skin was so irritated from the "rough" elastic, which would not have afforded me extra protection! Our bodies are all different; the 2 wide areas for added protection? Too wide for my underwear and bunched up. I'm glad I didn't have any issues the day I tried 1pad, as it would not have kept me dry! The ONLY positive: I tried another brand about a month ago, upon receiving an offer for free samples. I already purchased the 2 bags of Poise -- the one I've been content w/for years and the "new & unimproved" contoured (awful) fit. Poise -- yet another company that takes a perfectly fine product and, w/o respect for loyal consumers, changes everything for which this customer was willing to pay extra. I'm so disgusted, frustrated, and tired of companies changing perfectly fine products w/o consideration of consumers (some, like myself, created room in my monthly budget, based on a fixed-income/monthly stipend ... yet, felt the quality was worth the money). Now, I'm stuck with an open-bag, missing 2 pads -- one, I tried; one, I offered the friend whom recommended the Poise brand to me years ago ... this way, she had an opportunity to evaluate the new design for herself w/o risking the cost of an entire package. Along with many others that took time to write disheartening reviews, I suspect my message will receive a standard response explaining the "benefits" of the new design and offer to speak to a customer service representative. I'm highly doubtful Poise will revert back to manufacturing the product I -- and many others -- trusted for years! I already spent too much time rambling here -- and I rarely write reviews, esp. ones at great length. That said, as a wheelchair-user I need to be conscientious re: any product that can lead to potential skin break-downs and irritation. In my opinion, these pads are an inferior product to the pads Poise formerly manufactured. Every body is different; however, if you try the pads & they don't seem to fit/stick as You think they ought to -- check your skin to prevent potential irritation or bunching that might not afford you the same protection as non-contourFIT pads. Thank You for your time. At least, only one of us wasted $$ on a large bag Poise.

Bring back the old style Poise!
The new style Poise is disappointing. All pads bunch up on me, but the new design is worse! I much prefer the original Poise shape. I wish you'd make the old style available. I have 1 bag of the originals and 3 of the new. I will be looking for a more traditional style when they're used up. Really hope it will be Poise.
We are disappointed to hear about this, what you are describing is not the experience we want you to have with our Poise Pads! Please reach out to us so we can learn more from you and try to help. You can call us at 877-947-6473 (Monday-Friday 7:30am - 7:00pm Central Time). Thank you!
I tried a cheaper form of poise pads. They were not nearly as absorbent or good.! I will use ONLY Poise from now on as USUAL!
I have been using Poise for a few years now. In the interest of saving some money I recently tried a cheaper brand. I wound up going through them quicker and was very unhappy. In the end it cost more as there were days I had to change pads with the less expensive one in the middle of the day! From now on I will stick to what works best as usual! That is Poise!
Bring Back The Old Product!
For several years I have used Poise #4 long length and was very happy with it ! Never an accident as it worked perfect, This new contour pad is nothing at all like Poise in the past,This new contoured pad is USELESS! It is an inferior copy of the old product! It's thickness is at least 1/3 less or maybe even 1/2 the thickness: Even the adhesive is cheaper and barely sticks, it bunches up in the middle and i constantly have to change it as it leaks out all over! Why on Earth did they change a great product into a totally useless inferior one? Everything about is just wrong ! iThis new pad does not absorb at all ! Please bring back the previous pad the original thickness And width of the pad that DID work ! I am also angry at the fact that there's was no mention of the product revision other than saying is now a contoured shape,

STICKS IN YOUR CRACK
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No, I wouldn't recommend them until I first told them my thoughts about them. I'm 71 years old and never had to wear diapers since I was a baby. But now I have a bladder problem which might require surgery. I am catherized right now and sometimes it leaks so therefore the diapers. The worse thing about them is they get caught in your crack and you have to keep adjusting them. They are very uncomfortable. Another thing about them is the sticky stuff on the sides which can stick to the tender skin of your groin and it hurts trying to get it off your skin. I will say they are absorbent.
We truly appreciate you sharing your feedback with us, Josy. We're glad that you found our Poise Moderate Pads to be absorbent enough for your needs, but we're disappointed to hear that you didn't find them to be comfortable. As we know, all bodies are different and perhaps a different style of pad would better suit your need. If you have not already, we recommend trying our Thin-Shape Moderate pads as these feature a thin-flex® design that moves seamlessly with your body. We encourage you to learn more about these here: http://www.poise.com/products/pads-liners/thin-shape-pads/moderate. We hope you will give these a try and that they work much better for you. Thanks.
The old style Poise(4) was the savior of my dignity all day and over night. This was as shocking as a life giving medicine change without notice.
I do NOT feel as confident with the configuration change of the Poise 4 pads. They don't have the amount of absorbing gel and therefore leak. The older ones that I have used for years did not. This was a shocker as I depended on Poise to maintain the quality of care I always attributed to this company. I am negatively surprised by the frequency and number of pads I must use in a day. The old style was much more lasting. Who did you consult re: a change like this?? Not women with issues obviously.
We're really sad to hear that you do not feel confident with your purchase, Smitty77. We never wanted you to feel this way and we would like to chat with you to gather more details about your experience and help. The new pads were designed to improve on comfort and fit and what you've described is not what we hoped to hear. Please reach us at 1-877-947-6473 (Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Central Time). Thanks.
New design
I do not understand why the design was changed. I really was very confortable with the other design. The new design comes together in the middle and run leads each side. It is less absorbent. I wish you will understand what I mean as I did not find any place where I could give my comments in French. I am really thinking of trying another trade.
Your experience matters a lot to us and we never wanted a loyal fan like you to be disappointed, Degi. The design change to our pads were made to improve fit and comfort while providing the same absorbent protection as before. Since this was not your experience, we'd like to speak with you to see if we can make this right. Please call us at 1-877-947-6473 Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST or https://www.poise.com/contact-us. Thank you, and we hope to hear from you soon.
Not enough protection for my problems.
I must use the Ultimate Long Poise Pads for my leakage problems. I prefer the regular shape which gives me more protection in the mid range area than the hourglass shape. The problem I seem to incur is the backing seems to adhere to my underwear and tears apart leaving the "sticky part" attached and the inner wet liner crumbling apart. Most annoying!
We are sorry that you were disappointed with the backing on the Poise pad. When you have a moment, we would like to find out a little more about your experience with this product. Please call us at 1-877-947-6473 Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4 pm CST or contact us here: http://www.poise.com/contact. Thanks.
Hate the bright pink wrapper and other problem
I've been using Poise on and off for Several years. I sometimes switch with other similar brands. I noticed a while ago that Poise started to not seal the back of the pad as well as they used to. I find that now the seal at the back opens and the pad filling breaks up and can actually fall out. This is unacceptable and can be disgusting. I have not experienced this with any other bladder leakage pads, even generic brands do not have this problem. I am also wondering why the change in wrapper from light purple to shocking pink? For those of us who do not want to advertise we use bladder pads, the shocking pink wrapper is kind of hard to disguise when putting in one's purse or tossing in a waste basket. A more discreet color, such as plain white would be preferable. A less obvious outer packaging would be preferable also. I sometimes purchase Always brand pads simply because they are in a plain package which doesn't scream "bladder pad". Why would anyone think shocking pink would be a good idea? We really don't want to advertise that we are using or buying your pads.
We are disappointed to learn of your experience with this product as it is not something we typically hear. We do value your feedback and would like to learn more about your purchase. What Happened
I am 66 years old and have been very happy with my Piose pad for several years. I use the #4 Moderate pad. Just bought a new large bag and when I used the first one I noticed it felt too big. Too wide and it bunched up by mid day. Unfortunately I will be shopping for a new pad. Don't care if I have to throw these away. They are terrible, what the he h happened? I have been so happy for so long.
We share your frustration, Jan, and are disappointed to hear about your recent experience.
