It gives instant moisture to the skin and does have a slight fragrance but nothing that I would think would be an irritant. It has a normal typical skin care scent.

First of all, you get so much product for the price - the jar is so generous and feels like it will last forever, which I love, because I don't have to be stingy with it. The consistency is thick, rich and creamy, (not runny at all), and it melts beautifully into the skin, while still leaving that deeply hydrated, protected feeling. When I say hydrated, I mean actually moisturized -not just temporarily soft, but cushioned and comforted. My dry skin drinks this up. Oily skin types would probably shy away from it because it does give that classic rich cream finish, but for my dry girls? This is IT! I personally love that "sealed in" moisture feeling, I can't get enough of the hydration. It's packed with tried and true moisturizing ingredients that focus on barrier support and softness rather than trendy fluff, and it truly delivers on effectiveness. My skin feels smoother, more supple, and consistently hydrated every time I use it. Sometimes the classics really are classics for a reason.

The original cream is so moisturizing and thick, it's really great for dry skin! However it is heavily fragranced, which for sensitive skin is a big no no. It leaves some tingling/burning which I assume comes from the fragrance. If it were to get rid of that, I'd rate it much higher. The package is easy to open and close though!

I have some very dry patchy skin and while it was helpful and nourishing, I woke up with flaky skin. So I think I do need something stronger or more targeted to my specific situation. I do prefer face creams that are really deep but this is a great for a medium weight option. I like that the cream isn't overly scented and doesn't have a sticky feeling. I love the Ponds Dry Skin Cream Facial Moisturizer - first, the scent is beautiful, baby powder and reminds me of being a young girl. It is truly a throwback. The moisturizer itself is great and non greasy. I've been using this as my skin has been very dry from a prescription and this is very helpful for some heavy flaking I was experiencing. My husband loves this too and he avoids most moisturizers because he already has oily skin.
